Interested to see how we look tonight. We've always had LA's number, but this is a different team. We're 100% pure unwiped asshole right now. I can't see us keeping it under 10.

We matchup well in the frontcourt.

Diop and Najera should be able to score on Bynum & Gasol with ease.

I'm not worried about Higgins and Carroll defending Kobe, but kemba on fisher could present problems.

Obviously the key to this game is derrick brown. If he scores all over Matt Barnes it forces them to cover him with metta world peace and then diaw can really roam free.

I'm going with Bobcats 103 - 77.

Haha what tipped you off.

Unbelievable how bad this team is. Pretty sure we are Tanking intentionally though

If we walk away with a legit frontcourt player it will be worth it though.

Yeah I needed Portland to beat us by 16 to win. 16 points is completely absurd in the nba but I did it bc we lose every game by 20.

When I saw we lost 120-65 I almost spit beer on my own shirt.

I've been to dozens of games at the Cable Box, its a great arena to watch a game at

its just a franchise thats been poorly run from its inception...amazing how much different it could be if the Magic had drafted Emeka

Or if we'd drafted Brandon Roy

Or made the draft-day trade for Chris Paul

Or not named this team the damn Bobcats

So much coulda-shoulda with this team, it's depressing.

either of them would have been nice. Instead we picked a guy #3 overall that was literally rated as the worst player in the NBA that season by a landslide.

There is no excuse for that. If you make a mistake on an 18 year old that's one thing. There's definitely some luck involved with getting the next Tracy McGrady vs the next Gerald Green. It's an inexact science so you have to cut some slack.

But with a 4 year college player you know what you need to know.

There was no debate Shane Battier was going to be a solid but not spectacular player. Adam Morrison???? There was plenty of debate as to whether he'd be any good. Although, to the Bobcats credit most people weren't predicting he'd be a league washout and he did have an ACL injury. But still come the fuck on. The list of dumb decisions is four pages long and we've only had a team a few seasons.

Since this season is done, let's play WHO SHOULD THE BOBCATS DRAFT

Anthony Davis is a game-changer on defense and can rebound pretty well considering his lanky frame. His offense is raw, but there's room for improvement.

Harrison Barnes will be a really good -- not great -- pro IMO. He's an elite-level jump-shooter, which the Bobcats could really use. Still, he just doesn't seem to have the skill-set that warrants a top 3 pick. He also seems to lack the determination of the great scorers in the NBA.

Other than that, you've got the second-tier guys like Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Perry Jones, Jeremy Lamb, etc. There doesn't seem to be the can't-miss guy, but a lot of players who could help.

Okafor was anything but lanky. And you forgot Drummond. Him and Davis go 1-2 unless either starts sucking big time.

Yeah, Drummond is a man-child, but he looks lost out on the court ... like it just hasn't clicked yet. When it does, look out.

For what it's worth, NBAdraft.net moved him to their 2013 mock draft (he goes #1 over Shabazz Muhammad)

I still think Adam Morrison had the skill set to be successful in the Nba. Not amazing, maybe not even a starter. He was just a headcase. It was hard to tell that at gonzaga other than the crying incident.

I remember the old "Who will be a better NBA player, Adam Morrison or JJ Redick" argument

I think I thought it would be Morrison

Watched the first half. Despite having a roster that scares no one, and despite they're missing 3 starters, they actually seemed to play pretty well. I was impressed with the ball movement.

When/if Byombo ever gets some sort of offensive go-to move, he's got a chance to be really good. The block he had on Channing Frye's jam attempt incredible.

"This team is potentially a great over bet if they set the line too low just because we don't have any big names. They probably won't go .500 but they look like a ~20 win team if they can sign anyone halfway competent at center. If they spent the money to get a Dalembert type center they'd likely make the playoffs."

This team wouldn't win 20 in an 82 game season

Quote :
"I'm not as concerned with scoring as I am rebounding"

29th in scoring

Quote :
"Bj mullens is totally unplayable. One of the least productive players in the league. Great trade Jesus."

Mullens this season: 15.9 PER, .06 WS/48
Future 1st ballot HOFer Nene this season: 16.34 PER, .1 WS/48

Quote :
"We're right back in the bad spot. To competitive to land a top three pick, but not good enough to make the playoffs. Jordan can't even tank correctly."

Never again will you hear the phrase "too competitive" used in conjunction with this team

"Wishing I'd put a lot more on our over 16.5 wins now"

o, rly?

"Markieff Morris is already establishing himself as a star in the league."

Rank among NBA rookies:
PER - 21st
Value Added - 19th
EWA - 17th (t)
TS% - 21st
WS - 14th

The only thing he's decent at (compared just to other rookies) is rebound rate, where he's 8th

Quote :
"It's like I can see the future sometimes"

Yep, was just thinking that myself

Sorry to call you out, but you're fucking looney on this rebounding stuff. Nobody on here is going to argue that rebounds aren't valuable. But to value them more than anything else in the game is over-correcting and valuing them more than they should be. But hey, if you want to personally believe that Swen Nater & his 20.85 career Total Rebound Percent is one of the all time greats, then who am I to argue?
