I'm watching a Mexican League game and on a free kick the referee walked off 10 paces then sprayed a line on the ground with something to have a bearing on if the defenders were moving when he turned his back to get in position. I'd love to see this in the EPL, but it makes too much sense for the FA to utilize it.

I don't think AVB ever actually made Dawson captain. He was an incredibly loyal and solid player but he was going to find it hard to get a lot of time with gallas, vertonghen, and kaboul on the team and caulker breathing down his neck. I think he wanted to go.

^^ The Twitters told me that Wenger didn't want to pay the fee and wages Sahin was demanding for the loan, and Liverpool was willing to, so Arsenal let him go. Rumors are £5m loan fee, £14m permanent fee, and around £100k wages. Twitter still says the decision hasn't been made yet...some media outlets still saying he is going to Arsenal and others to Liverpool. Guess we will know soon...

Wasnt Sahin bought at £8m or so? And he barely played so essentially £19m would be good ROI if Jose doesn't see him as a fit.

Now if we dump Spearing/Adam for Dempsey, I'll be happy. I wouldn't be surprised to see Carroll go to raise funds for another striker (I've been seeing Sturridge's name but nothing but rumors at this point)

Glad to see VdV starting this week. Defoe too. He's got to be brimming with confidence and eager to prove himself now that Ade is back. I think Defoe is going to have a good season and if he keeps up the scoring I wouldn't mind having only Defoe, Ade, and Kane until at least January. I'm not liking seeing Livermore playing so much though. I like him as a player, just enough to be starting yet.

^^ I don't mind stopping play. The cut was much nastier than it first looked to me. But why would United no give rightful possession back to Fulham since they had it in an advanced position with no challenge? Isn't that what typically happens when play is whistled?

^ quality depth. Rooney may not miss a game now but you have to think RVP will need some off time too..

odd to say but i'm glad Rooney will miss some time. i think kagawa and RvP will form a lethal combo and firmly establish themselves. when he gets back Rooney can figure out where he fits in as opposed to trying to fit the other 2 around Rooney.

imo, Rooney's future should be at CM.
