That belief cannot be grounded on anything you watched in the first half. Awful half from United.

Also losing to Olympiakos? hilarious. What a mess David Moyes has created.

United fans don't expect sympathy. Anyone that does is an idiot. What did they expect to get from other fans after throwing it in their face for 20 years? We are jaded but most of us are also aware of how incredibly lucky we were to have Sir Alex. What has been surprising though is the fall was a lot faster than expected but United brought it upon themselves by hiring someone who wasn't ready for this.

Also ginganinja's message was that there were rumors in the NYSE that Moyes would get fired today. Probably not happening till the summer at least. Even then Moyes is here till probably November of next year. If things don't pick up till then he is gone. I don't know how I feel about Moyes getting a transfer window under his belt before being fired. Could just end up wasting more money.

If Moyes gets fired right away, then it is obviously because we are on track to miss the CL next season and the £ £ £ that comes with it. And the expectation for the new manager would be to get us into the Top 4 this season. Not happening.

wazza is right. This season is already down the drain. Give Moyesy you beauty 18 months and see what he can do.

If you give him a full transfer window, then honestly you should also be willing to give him another full season with all the new players (surely 4-5 new players are needed). Based on the season so far, I think that's too risky. This is the same exact team from last year that looks completely lost because their manager is lost. Roy at Liverpool all over again.

^ Exactly. Look I didn't expect Moyes to win the title but he should have at the very least been in the top 4 if not challenge for it. Moyes is out of every competition and accomplishment in a pretty spectacular fashion. No one asked for instant success but no one expected United to finish 6th either. Its been a dire season and Moyes is to blame at the end of the day. As I said I don't know how I feel about giving Moyes the money to get 4 players. Too risky and United risk having to do a Liverpool if that happens. It would need a lot of work and some luck to get back to a top 4 spot just as Liverpool have shown in the last 2 years.

It would be the most annoying thing ever but you can't write off their top 4 chances yet. The last few months are loaded with home games (maybe not a good thing for United this season?) and only two of them against top 5 clubs.

If they don't beat Liverpool in a few weeks though, it's probably over.

^I would have agreed with you in January but not now. Its too much and any surge will be too little to late. I think pool should be more worried about Tottenham but it seems their honeymoon period has worn off now. Pool deserve to be in the top 4 on the merit of their football alone as frustrating as that is to say. Plus I also don't see Moyes having a chance in hell at getting 3 points against pool or city. 5th would be an over achievement at this point. How damning would it be if Everton were to finish above United this year? This was a disaster waiting to happen, I can't think of one united fan who went into the season honestly believing Moyes was a great appointment. We were blindly optimistic but it turned out to be exactly what we all secretly thought it would be.

United this season is like a noob playing FIFA in Amateur mode.

And Ashley Young sucks, he looks only the ball.

Joleon Lescott has no business starting for Manchester City

I know he started out of necessity, and he's 3rd string, but still

he's outclassed by the rest of his team

Debating if I should watch the last champions league match for United or save myself from the misery.... I expect 2 own goals and David Moyes staring at nothing and then wondering how we lost. Throw in 80 crosses for good measure.
