So a guy who hustles and dives for loose balls is dirty now? Got it

The Korver play was a fluke injury, Delladova dove for the ball then turned to protect the ball. If you watch the Horford play he gets pulled down by Horford, trips over another Hawks player who is under Delladova and then land next to Horfords leg. You've got some serious Atlanta shades on if you think either of those plays were malicious.

^well, you've got Cleveland shades on too

And Horford didn't say he was a dirty player. He DID say he was a competitor and hustled, etc, BUT also said that he needed to "learn" or something, and that the league was a brotherhood. So maybe he backhandedly said he was dirty...but he also acknowledged that he didn't make the wisest choice when retaliating.

that doesn't really show the whole situation though, just the end of it

It's been one of the most boring playoffs ever. The only interesting part was the Western Conference first round.

dont think its any one incident that has started this Dellavadova is a dirty player movement. More a combination of "hes in the middle of this shit everytime" type deal. But if dellavadova wants to keep earning a paycheck in the NBA, hes gonna have to keep putting himself in the middle of these situations because his hustle/"dirtiness" is how hes useful

^agreed, he's getting a quick reputation as always being reckless around other players legs. I agree the play that horford got worked up wasn't that dirty. But the Gibson one clearly was, and then to later in the game last night instinctively try to grab Teagues ankle as he runs down court, just shows that his "hustle" is also full of dirtbag shit if he's on the ground. Either way, im less annoyed by Dellavadova than I am that they called that a flagrant 2. I was watching the game with Cleveland fans who were shocked by that as well.

If people are calling Delladova a dirty player than I don't know what you would have called Bill Lambeer(sp?). The devil?

The Hawks are getting out hustled everywhere. They don't have a closer. Teague try to do the damn thing. He had the time to win it in regulation and to tie in OT.

The Cavs have takedown the beat down and think it will finally catch up to them in finals with a healthier golden state. Having no Irving and Love is a 30 pt per game drop off. And Lebron out there shooting like me. A horror show.

if Howard gets ejected for backhand-punch-grazing Bogut, will it be an E Man conspiracy?

Clearly. If he doesn't get ejected it's bc they want to stretch this series as long as possible. Conspiracy

NBA trying to extend the series for more advertising money. But it's bullshit, because that's more air travel that pollutes the environment. And those chemtrails.

If you wanna know what the problem is with refs, just listen to steve javie bumble through the explanation of why the Dwight Howard tech wasn't a Flagrant 2. Dude said those calls are "subjective". Well of course they are, but anytime a player basically throws a punch and hits a guy up side the head...doesn't that take the subjectiveness out of it? lols

^ yeah, i fully expect they'll raise it to a flagrant 2/one game suspension today. which may be worse than before if this means Howard misses all of game 5 rather than just missing a portion of game 4? am i thinking about that right?

either way, seems absurd that upon review the howard one wasn't upgraded during the game, especially considering the horford call (although i know they were different refs). joey crawford is awful, so not surprising that his crew botched this one.

One problem with refereering is that the offensive player tries to draw contact on every single shot and then the defensive player complains that he gets called for a foul. If the offensive player iniates contact and then doesn't get the call, he bitches and complains. Whhat can be done to stop all the bangin' into one another and then subseqent crying?

Where are all the comments about how the refs helped Cleveland win again last night?

The East is such a joke.

Lebron James and James Jones the first non-Celtics to go to 5-straight NBA finals, and both were the first to do so on different teams.

The weak conference thing would have teeth to me if not for the fact the NBA has been like that for a long time. It's always been top heavy. Shit during the Lakers and Celtics run , the western conference was so incredibly weak I bet you can't name any other good teams then. Magic went the finals with no Worthy and Kareem. Larry Bird rolled his eyes at it.

assuming golden state wins as expected..... cleveland is facing a buzzsaw in oakland in the finals.

jr smith, james jones, and dellevedova won't be having hot shooting nights like they did in the last couple series.

also, GS has impressed me with their ability to go on massive scoring runs after being in a hole

actually kind of glad that there is 8 days off until the finals. lets both teams get a little bit healthier.

hope klay is alright. dont know the exact concussion protocols for basketball, but they said he was throwing up after the game.

I could see the trainers thinking about concussion protocol, then seeing blood coming from his ear and then deciding that the blood/ear is the only thing they have to worry about

Dunno if he counts as a superstar at the time, but Kevin Garnett put up this spectacular bed-shitting in '98 (his second season) against the Sonics, who threw double-teams at him the whole game because they knew he couldn't handle them

http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/g/garneke01/gamelog/1998/

Game 5 - 7 points, 4 rebounds, 10 turnovers in 43(!!!!!) minutes

What do you say now, tww? I think the long ass layoff will hurt the Warriors at first, but they'll get back on pace.
Game 1 goes to the Cavs, but Warriors pull it out in 6.
