LOL at you thinking being the 6 seed against the Heat is a good thing. We wanted Atlanta as the 3 with a possible matchup with Toronto or Pacers. Now we won't even make it out of the first round. 4/13/2016 11:52:52 PM |

How did Charlotte lose the tiebreaker to all three Atlanta, Boston, and Miami when they had the best conference record among the four? Should have wanted to get Boston....some have beaten them easy I think. Still win @Miami in regular season. 4/14/2016 9:18:14 AM |

#2 I'm excited because our games will be televised on normal networks so I can watch them now

Kind of like this matchup. Big Al actually gives Whiteside trouble.
Avoiding Cleveland should they somehow win a series would be fortunate too.

We definitely didn't want atlanta. The Hornets are like a poor man's Hawks. This is as good of a shot as they've ever had to win a series. Hopefully they perform well 4/14/2016 9:29:48 PM |

I didn't really watch after the first quarter it was so brutal. Deng had an out of body experience apparently.
Chalk that one up to playoff experience maybe we will be competitive game 2...
I think we should let batum, marvin, lee, lin, and Jefferson all walk this offseason and start the rebuild.
But i predict they resign marv and batum and bring MKG back for 13 games before he gets hurt and we go 38-44 4/17/2016 8:02:25 PM |

Yes, I think we are pretty much DONE already. The real question is, if we can win a game before going home like two years ago. 4/18/2016 10:14:07 AM |

I think we can win one but I read a really good analysis yesterday about how there really aren't any adjustments we can make to sway the series and i agree with it.
Our walker, batum, lee, marv, zeller lineup is our goto lineup but miami can just put deng at the 4 and we can't guard them at all unfortunately. That johnson signing and that random guy emerging for them late in the year was huge for them.
Jordan getting a nice reminder that he BLEW the winslow pick for kaminsky yesterdsy. Jesus christ that is gonna haunt us forever 4/18/2016 6:59:22 PM |

This franchise is cursed as long as they insist on carrying multiple tarholes on their roster, regardless of talent. They might as well be harboring war criminals IMO.
Good riddance.
PS- its only gonna get worse when they gleefully snatch up Brice Johnson late in first round this year. 4/19/2016 12:08:16 AM |

Frank is going to be a good player. Anybody with that size and that shot will have a place in the NBA. He's like a very (very) poor man's Dirk.
But you can't pass on Winslow's star potential. The only thing holding that guy back is a halfway decent shot, and that's easily developed.
Anyway, Miami played so much tougher than us. When the toughest player on your team is a 5'10 point guard, you'll have issues. MKG would help tremendously -- and I've actually heard there's a CHANCE he could play at some point this series -- but it's highly doubtful. 4/19/2016 8:51:07 AM |

We are already very very lucky to get into the playoff with MKG out in the middle of the season.

Quote : | "CLEVELAND, Ohio – Charlotte Hornets forward Nicolas Batum is expected to miss the remainder of the first-round series against the Miami Heat with a left ankle injury, league sources informed cleveland.com.
Batum, 27, underwent an X-ray on Thursday and the results did not reveal a fracture, a league source told cleveland.com. I'm told Batum is not able to place weight on the foot. The results of his MRI have yet to be released.
The 6-8 small forward rolled his ankle in Game 2 on Wednesday. Miami is up in the series 2-0. Game 3 is in Charlotte on Saturday. He's averaging 16.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in this series." |

Omg we are gonna go 0-12 in the playoffs.
I think you gotta blow it up again. Let Jefferson walk obviously he's done. Lin will leave for greener pastures. I think we should let marvin walk and start over. He's getting old and this series exposed him defensively even though he had a terrific regular season. And my god 6% fg?!
Batum is good but he's aging, very in jury prone, and is gonna get a max deal.
On one hand you get nothing for him. But on the other he's not a great value on a max deal so it's tough call either way.
Lee i think will leave he's old makes no sense for us
Give zeller his option year obviously. He sucks at pf because he can't shoot but he's a damn good center except against monsters like drummond and whiteside 4/23/2016 3:58:58 PM |

We made Miami settle for jumpers for the most part. And aside from Deng being hot early on and Wade hitting mid-range shots like he's always done, it worked pretty well. Homecourt didn't hurt either. 4/23/2016 10:46:02 PM |

3rd quarter was a massive meltdown for miami though. everyone was standing around while kaminski was getting layups. 100% of that blame goes on erik spoelstra for not bringing deng back in. also the small ball lineup they attempted was atrocious. charlotte won the game straight up. 4/24/2016 12:09:43 AM |

I'll just say that Frank hadn't even scored a field goal in Miami, and was missing a lot of shots early. So he wasn't exactly begging for lock down defense based on the first 2.5 games of the series. But I agree with whoever said earlier ITT that he has talent and will end up being a solid player. 4/24/2016 12:19:41 AM |

it's sickening to me how many times i've watched both kemba and lin get free drives into the lane for easy layups. miami has no answer for that.

Lin did an awesome job helping Walker, Lee second.
They defended Time Warner Cable arena.
This is a very critical game for Lin's career I think. He has got a reason to stay locally now. Walker and Lin got some unspeakable chemistry between each other. They are like bros already.
Lin is kinda like between journey man and role player. He's definitely the celebrity among journey men, because we all know his linsanity, so he's better than Lee basically. But he has issues bringing himself to the next level, to be a very reliable unselfish role player. So he had changed THREE team in one single year before the linsanity, which is crazy. He needs a team to fully understand him and trust him, obviously. This year, he seems finding out the right place, which is Charlotte Hornets.

Lin might be the best free agent signing in Bobcats/Hornets history. Not just because he's everything you want in a sixth man, but because of marketing. He has to have the biggest non-superstar fanbase of any player in the NBA. His jerseys are everywhere in the stands, home or away. I watched a group of Asian girls literally cry when Lin tossed them a towel after a game this year.
Basketball wise, he's lethal when he's locked in. Problem is he's inconsistent and a bit turnover prone. But when he goes in Linsanity mode, I don't think there's a guard in the NBA who can stop him. It's like playing with a guy on NBA Jam who's on fire. 4/26/2016 4:11:10 PM |
