I'd like to see the side by side ratings numbers, demographics breakdown, etc for the Warriors and Lakers game tonight. Just kinda an interesting take on the human condition.

To be clear I'm staying up and not going out specifically to watch the warriors attempt to make history.

I feel like watching Kobes last game just isn't going to be that interesting but I'll give it a few glimpses and i am interested in the pregame. I wish they weren't simultaneous but i can't say I'd bother watching if the warriors weren't on tonight.

I tried to think of any other athletes "last game" that i made it a point to watch and absolutely nothing comes to mind. I can't even think of an irrelevant last gamenities for any guys really...

I mean jordan last game with bulls, peyton last game, elway, etc were all for the championship and we didn't officially know it was their last game.

I also think his last season was completely ridiculous. It's like we are trying to change his persona. And he's already the most overrated basketball player of alltime so it's kinda hollow

somebody made the joke on Twitter that Kobe could go out scoring 45 or shooting 5-27, and that both would be a perfect ending for him

with that said, I'll check out the Lakers game for potential laughs, and watch the Warriors game for potential history

[Edited on April 13, 2016 at 9:39 PM. Reason : never been a fan of Kobe, tho]

I hope Kobe takes every shot tonight. I want him to hit at least 50 attempts. What's the most attempts in a game? I want him to have that record.

lol just checked, Jordan @49

2nd place---Kobe with 47

I will be in Miami the weekend of May 5. I expect the Heat to beat the Hornets unfortunately so that means now the cavs wouldn't be in MIA then either, it would be Toronto or Indiana...and even in Charlotte or Mia that is LAME!

Kobe's +/- is at -13, while Steph's is currently at +21.

Just shows the old nba adage....

Anyone can score 50 if they shoot every play

It was cool game to watch after the absolute clinic steph put on to break both records basically by halftime.

I got a lot of enjoyment watching kobe shoot his team out of games the last decade.

No one has ever been luckier than him. He was never as good as guys like tmac, grant hill, etc at their peak but by virtue of forcing his way to la he ended up on enough stacked teams to carry him to championships.

The media never seemed to care about his steroid use the way they did mcgwire, bonds, etc

Has nobody mentioned in this thread that Kobe had an absurd streak of "seasons with at least one 50+ point game" until this year? Saw it a mile away.

[Edited on April 14, 2016 at 2:42 AM. Reason : lol 6/21 from behind the arc]

[Edited on April 14, 2016 at 2:45 AM. Reason : Wizards Jordan lit up the Hornets for 50+ when he was damn near 40 years old]

I'm SICK of people talking about Jordan everytime anything happens.

Kobe wins - talk about jordan
lebron wins- talk about jordan
curry wins- talk about jordan
gsw set record- talk about jordan
kobe retires- talk about jordan

most people have thier minds made up that nothing will ever touch jordan and they have to insert his apples into every discussion of organes and then bring up physical defense, competitive eras and hand checks. Let it go.
