I will quit posting the tidbits I hear if yall want me to. I am not trolling, what a waste of time. I am in a position to learn about things regarding the coaching search a little bit in advance, and I hear things about certain candidates.

I won't know much about the exact coach we pick until about the week prior probably, but when I hear something about that I will post. I am not "trolling", and I will be more than happy to not post anything I hear in the future if you guys are that freaked out by me.

Golden Corrall?

alright, I won't post anymore, obviously I touched a nerve in this community, which was never my intention. I love NC State, I am an alum, and have been a fan since my 3 older siblings attended in the 80's. I always enjoyed hearing the hot tip from somebody else in the past about these searches, so I thought I would return the favor this time since I am in a position to do so.

But I guess its true I dont have the trust factor that other users with thousands of posts here have. Which I totally get.

So I will not post about the candidates or anything else when I hear them coming up. Sorry to bother you all!

I will definitely know bigger things to come, but I won't post anymore information I get so people like you can get out of bed in the morning to face the world without having to decide if an insider tip is real or not... oh the horror~!!!

^Fell for what? What am i causing people to fall for? I am offering tidbits I hear from somebody super close to the Search... why do people get so mad about it? Just take them for what there are. Hell, maybe I am being fed the wrong info, though I doubt it because I have a professional relationship with this person, but I guess its possible.

No other sports board I have ever been on has been this rude to people offering insider tips. There is obviously something about how this community works that I don't understand.

Any promo codes or discounted membership options for the rivals premium site? I already pay for PackPride premium so don't really want to double up, but if I could get a 3 for 1 month type deal or something I'd pull the trigger for the search.

Apparently they had some info that someone posted on PackPride, but it got removed before I saw what it was.

Nvm, misread your post.

Not sure about rivals. It's only about $9/month I think. My dad's a member so I'll use his log in to read. It's less active than PP, but i feel like the info and "scoops" they have for recruiting and stuff is usually better or straightforward than PP at times. I enjoy their site more than PP partly because it's less active so there's not as many new posts/threads to wade through

Also, it's weird to me when people communicate like that over twitter DMs. Texting seems like it's way easier. And it wouldn't be hard to get that person's phone number.

It doesn't look like insiderncsu's name is Fred, but he doesn't want to say more. Totally a guy with insider info that paid 5 bucks to a largely irrelevant website to share info with about 10 regular posters and not some overweight guy with a chinstrap who can't leave this site and its users alone. I found that out when I was in college and posted something my fb player roommate had told us before it was knowledge. Got multiple rude PMs from mods about not posting premium info. I haven't been back to that shithole since.

Yeah heard that Gregg isn't even in consideration at this point.

Made me wonder if Yow didn't feel like wasting her time after the last coaching search and being led on by Marshall or if the feelers told her not to bother.

I don't see Marshall saying no this quickly, he seems to really enjoy being wined and dined(us, Bama, VT, etc).

There's only 2 people that would know if Gregg was interested and that is himself and his agent.

This ain't some amateur operation. They will keep names under wraps until it's almost a done deal.

Anytime I see names and people say they turned us down I just laugh, the committee barely got formed last week so there hasn't been much time for any of that nonsense to occur.

At this point State is asking agents if there is interest, what the money might be, contract etc.

There have been no formal offers made.

Yow is going for the homerun hire.

I don't think anyone has turned us down, I just wondered if Yow told the committee not to even include Marshall considering his reputation. They could have potentially asked his agent and the agent gave them a quick "don't waste your time" and thus removed him from consideration immediately.

Then I simply added that I assumed Yow and the committee decided not to waste their time as I don't think Marshall has told ANY team he wasn't at least interested just to get the royal treatment and have his ego stroked for a bit.

I agree Yow wants a "homerun" hire, but I don't see how Marshall wouldn't be considered a "homerun" hire. I mean saying that almost insinuates she's going to go all-in for Archie or she has gotten good feedback from someone like Drew or Wright that would just shock people.

i would like to believe this. but this wasn't exactly the case in the last coaching search. granted, you can't prevent leaks or rumors coming from sources outside of the athletic dept and search committee...but those rumors or leaks will still be there.

but i agree with you on your entire post, just wanted to point that out.
