Just saw a Pic of the defendants. The 3 I saw were dressed inappropriately for court and Markell had on a State shirt. Really didnt like him rep'in State in court.

This doesn't look good, i'll just assume that he doesn't make it back for the rest of the season. With him I thoought we would go 9-9 in ACC and make it to the NCAA. Without him, i'll just have to wait and see how the season unfolds. I'm interested to see if Batts steps up as I with his quickness and athleticism I believe that he can be a NBA player.

I'm not happy, but the details are still vague at this stage. Regardless if he returns or not I hope he learns from the experience and become a better person. I don't know him but he seemed like a good kid, perhaps he was hanging around the wrong crowd.

In their college careers, how many people commit felonious assault and don't get caught for it?

I'd expect leniency on alcohol or weed violations since everyone actually does that, but not all misdeeds are equivalent.

No, I'm just perusing his very public, very dumb Facebook page.

And the guy has a habit of "getting jumped" apparently.

And I just find it interesting that he and Markell were apparently close at one point, which is odd to me that a (at the time HS basketball player) would be friends with a guy fresh out of prison who is 18 years his senior. Nowhere have I said that this guy deserved to get the shit beat out of him or that Johnson is innocent. I think this case is quite compelling actually. I also think in all likelihood Johnson is done at State.

We're all curious about what happened and what impact it will have on this year's team and Markell's future. Getting a glimpse at the victim's daily musings and postings can give some context, especially things like the fact like he and Markell are FB friends and clearly have a history, it's not some random dude that he met that night.

side note: Sounds like he got whooped for talking junk to these guys and Markell was the face to place the blame on since he already knew him. Good lawyers may be able to get it reduced if not make it disappear.
