It really looks like we have just might have some real talent. All of our recent transfers have looked great (Joiner especially, but also Mahorcic, Burns & Clark). Morsel'ls been awesome lately and looks like he may be our third scoring option. Thomas has looked pretty good in limited minutes, and Gantt looked alright in limited time last night. And Ross definiteely has potential and may figure it out and get some good minutes. Not sure what happened to Ebe, I know he was never very good, but he started last year and had a few decent games. So far this season he's looked pretty bad.

I know, way too earlier, but I'm a little excited (but I fully expect to be disappointed).

Nothing happened to Ebe, he is just really bad at nearly every aspect of basketball. Mainly offense, defense and rebounding. Last year we had the worst group of centers I've ever seen and this year we do not.

The transfers have been more impressive than I expected as well, although I'm still not sold on Burns.

Morsell has been absolutely on fire but I think he's due for regression unless his summer work just wildly transformed his shot.

I think our season will hinge on whether Terq can increase his 3p% at least to last seasons level and/or find a way to get to the bucket more consistently, and how much, if any, morsell regresses.

Also curious how this team will do against someone like Bacot

I think Burns will be fine as long as Mahorcic stays healthy and out of foul trouble and he can play for short stretches off the bench. If he has to play 30 minutes a game i think he would struggle.

My sources are telling me that Morsell is actually off to a slow a start relative to his summer transformation. Expect his final 3PT shooting % to be closer to 75%

I hate charges so much. I understand why it’s a foul. But running really fast to a spot so you can then stop in front of an offensive player is just dumb and not really good defense. I get that an offensive player can’t just run over a defender. But I just really hate defenders in transition not guarding the player or the ball but instead stopping, standing really still, and getting run into. It’s kinda dumb and it’s not really defense.


First half we shot poorly but at least didn’t turn it over so it kept us in it. Second half we still are shooting poorly but turning it over and getting into foul trouble. Digging too big of a hole.

12-19 FTs didn’t help. Most of those misses were Dusan and Burns…need Smith and/or Joiner getting to the line more (which they had been earlier in the year)

Complete fuck up. Everywhere tonight. But I have no idea why the left the Serb on the bench for nearly the entire second half, in favor of a clearly tired Burns, and then have him come in for a couple minutes, providing a much needed spark on interior offense and defense, then sit him back down.

Having dislocated my patella it definitely hurts. He will be out 4-6 weeks at a minimum with our without surgery. Without surgery it will happen again but it tends to go back in place easier but it still hurts.
