Just a note, backup your game saves every now and then. My HDD corrupted. After a few restores it worked long enough to copy my game saves. Is there anyway to force the PS3 to reformat it? I just loops trying to restore it now every time I boot up.

How much mileage do you really expect out of a $10 game? It's way better bang for the buck than any $60 action game with no multiplayer. Just buy it, you won't regret it. Unless you've never spent money on a movie ticket in your life, you have no excuse.

Just so you know, your PS3 will not boot without a HDD. I'm waiting on my 1+ hr format of the ps3 drive on my computer before I can put it back in the PS3. I tried formating in the PS3, but it still would not boot.

just beat uncharted for the first time tonight. man that game was awesome. both the storyline and the action kept me hooked the entire game. the final battle actually felt like a good "boss battle" and had a great ending. cannot WAIT for uncharted 2.

I finally took back Prince of Persia and bought Resistance 2, havent had a chance to play it yet but I've heard nothing by good things about it

Prince of Persia wasnt fun, at all

and I cannot wait for God of War III, that is by far my favorite series of games

I just beat Uncharted for the 2nd time. It really is a very fun game and they did such a good job with the gameplay. the climbing, jumping, and cover mechanics are fantastic. I can't wait for the next one.

I finished off Dead Space last night. I liked it a lot, but it was probably twice as long as it needed to be. The combat was fun enough though that I stuck with it to the end.

has anyone else had the trouble of the system not reading the disk on startup? I have to manually take the disk out and put the disk back in before the system menu will detect there is a game in there.

it just started earlier this week and is very annoying

anyone have trouble with their bluetooth on their PS3? Lately it doesn't seem to be working at all...and before after a while usually while watching a movie....the remote goes out of sync and i can't sync it back up unless i power off the PS3.

ok so after a few days with the ps3 controller I've determined that its too small

and my hands aren't real big either

I can palm a basketball, but barely

but it feels like a little kids controller...maybe I'm just too used to the 360 controller, which is a perfect fit for me

Also the trigger buttons aren't big enough, i might have to get those realtrigger things



but enough bitching...2 days to killzone...I coincidentally have Friday off so I'll be playing that a fuckin lot

Since you need a certain rank to make a clan, I'll go head and make one if I get there before the rest of you

fuck it, we should make a separate thread for that game...its gonna be that big

you should def. check out an aftermarket controller then. i got a pretty cheap one for 25 bucks but it has a battery pack on it and its a lot bigger than the normal controller

Finally chose a side in the console wars and went with an 80GB PS3. I did the Best Buy deal this week; I should've gone with the Dell one a while back, but I wasn't completely convinced until I saw God of War 3 screenshots. Those pictures helped rekindle my love for Sony in my wandering heart.

First game I got was actually Valkyria Chronicles though. While GoW3 convinced me to buy the PS3, it was actually Valkyria that first started tilting me toward the PS3.

Can't compare it to the demo since I've never played it, but after about ten hours in, I've found Valkyria Chronicles a lot of fun thus far. There's a pretty good amount of depth to the game, and the world and story they've pulled together is pretty entertaining in that Japanese sort of way. Let me know if there was anything particular that you were curious about.

Not sure what to get next: GTA IV, MSG IV, or perhaps something else. Waiting on GoW3 and FFXIII (whenever in the near or distant future those titles are released).

Then again, I may not have much time to devote to the PS3 when Empire: Total War comes out next month.

I got the offical headset a few weeks ago. Much better than the cheap one I was using before. It syncs much faster and shows you the battery life in the XMB. Sound quality is the tits too. Very nice.

I've been using some cheap Jabra headset and its been ok. if I find that I'm using it a lot more with KZ2 or something and need to upgrade I might.

Thing about wearing a head set is that you rarely have someone to discuss strategy/moves with. Its mostly just annoying little kids being annoying so I rarely use mine. If I get a game on with a friend or something though its nice to have.

I really like how xbox live's system is where you can set up a chat outside of the game and just chat with your friends in the game. I'm not sure if you can do that with the PSN or not.
