The Expendables stole the show last night at Lincoln, Iration was solid too. I can't remember the last time I was at a show and surrounded by so many beautiful women (not girls). It's so much better going to shows in Raleigh then it is in Charlotte, not cause of the eye candy, but so much fewer annoying girls that don't know how it goes when you're down in front.

I doubt anyone who's a big TA fan hasn't heard Spider Bags since Patrick Stickles pimps them all the time, but if you don't know, they're one of the finest live rock bands on the planet. Don't miss it.

Didn't see any of Mac's solo set, but he did a bunch of covers (Misfits/Cramps) with Spider Bahs that were fun.

Spider Bags ripped, as usual.

TA did a family-friendly set that included "The Boys are Back in Town," "Do You Love Me?" and a version of "Fear and Loathing in Mahwah, NJ" that featured the words "yuck fou."

They're back to a pure three guitar attack and sounded awesome. Couldn't ask for a better show, let alone a free one.

I saw Lagwagon Wednesday... they didn't do a single song that was written after '98, so i was pleased (except a song i didn't recongize in memory of Tony Sly). Looking forward to Ty Segal at Kings in January. I'm thinking about Crooked Fingers next week.

^^and misfits/cramps covers with spider bags sounds cool, hate i missed it. they played misfits songs during the intermission at the lagwagon show. i might try to dig-out my glow-in-the-dark crimson ghost skull shirt for Halloween/

Skream/Joker was fun, but The Filmore did a good job making me not want to return. At 2am sharp they put all the lights on and cut the sound. Didn't even let Skream finish the show.
