We had magnetic save the dates. However, they were small, business card size. Normal postage applied.

Whoop whoop half the invitations went out today. I just have to square some things up with the other half (mostly international) and those will go out on Monday.

Let's see - hair and make up booked, rings purchased, first round of alterations done, and the flower girl dresses are ordered. Still need to figure out favors and get my bridesmaids gifts. And I still need to buy my garter but any progress!

I have a lot of wedding DIY and tutorials from my wedding last year on my blog. Check it out!

You'll have to click older posts because I imported them from another blog and they are from last year.

Im hoping to attend the Brides Against Breast Cancer event in Charlotte at the end of this month.. just thinking about what they do bring tears to my eyes

Kind of scary to think I might be walking out of there with my dress in hand.. I've been engaged almost 6 months now and haven't tried on a single gown

Went shopping with my fiance's aunt this weekend and picked out colors for our invites and programs! Also talked to her about making a personalized coloring book for the kids at the wedding!

there's a ton of different ones on etsy. a lot of them come in sets of 2, so you have one to keep and one to toss. i think i paid $27 with shipping for mine and the girl emailed me last night to tell me she is shipping it out.

After dealing with windblown curls on Sunday, I decided to move away from big barrel curls just in case

and then I saw this

I'm glad David decided he didn't want to do the garter toss. One less thing I had to spend money on

i have tried to start picking out music but i am really bad at it. i just want my music guy to do it all. i might just message him and be like, can you just pick something out? it's like the last thing i care about - i just have too much other stuff to worry about than what song is playing when i throw a bouquet

no garter for me

I think it's tacky and has a tendency to make everything a little weird for those few minutes

i, too, have 10 days left, as of today.

perhaps ill run into SF at the courthouse when we pick up our license.

finalized the menu options this morning.

i think everything is set now. other than seating arrangements and some of the finer points.

and as a bonus, it appears as if we've been able to save ~4k more than needed to pay off everything in cash, which is rad.

also, i'm going to have wayyyy too much alcohol it seems, after putting in the order before finalizing the head count. I did NOT want to run out.

5 cases of Victory Storm King
4 cases of Duck Rabbit Amber
6 cases of Dog Fish Head 60 Minute
5 cases of Shiner Bock
9 cases of Miller Lite
9 cases of Bud Light

3 cases of White
3 cases of Red
2 cases of Champagne

for what is ending up to be 140 people is probably quite overkill... "here's your parting gift, take some more beers!"

Better to have extra to drink afterwards than run out. Just make sure the bartenders/caterers don't take that shit home with them.

shoulda gone for the 90 Min and had a real party.

if you're getting shiner, you ought to avail yourself of the ruby red summer offering. shit. is. ginger-and-grapefruit. delicious.

really? i thought the ruby red was atrocious.

i had a party and couldn't even get people to drink it when it was free.

for those looking to get their crunk on, that victory storm king is 9.1% as well.

the selections are a blend of beers from the states that we've lived in, as an interesting little note to the attendees paying attention

i dont even really go for fruit-infused beers per se, although i do like the summer crispness of a good clean belgian, but i also enjoyed the Spoetzel Dortmunder. They got the seasons on lock, b.

So I went the corporate route and got my save the dates from Vistaprint. Ordered them yesterday, got a notice today that they were done printing and had been shipped. Nice and quick!

Fairly inexpensive, too! There are a million and one coupon codes out there. Got 100 Save the Date magnets (4x6 or something like that) and 100 matching envelopes for <100 bucks and that includes shipping.

Vistaprint is awesome. I got my save the date postcards from them for free, just paid the s/h which was around $7. You can't beat getting 100 postcards for $7.

we used Apple's card products to do our save the dates and they were pretty inexpensive. we did a "postcard" type and it was high resolution color picture with whatever we wanted on it with an envelope. i got 100 of them for $87 with shipping i think.

Yeah if you sign up for their daily email they give away free shit all the time. I stopped getting the email though since I rarely have a reason to order from them now that I get a mad corporate discount at Kinko's.

We have had great success with the online feature for our RSVPs - hardly anyone has used the Google Voice number

but holy hell, a certain side of someone's family APPARENTLY DOESN'T RSVP TO ANYTHING.
