fred, My search screen doesnt look like that. I am home the home page, swipe to the right, and all I have is a search bar (it says Search iPhone) with a keyboard below. How did you bring up the email list with the To/From/Subject on there?

Ok so i'm stupid and ordered it with a credit card that expires Friday. From what you guys have said and what i've been told they don't charge the card until they ship it out. I called up AT&T to switch the cards to a newer credit card and they contacted the e-store and said they had already received the payment. Maybe i'll get it sooner!

it DID work while 3.0 was in development for a short period.. basically if you could get at&t to add MMS to your account then MMS used to work (evan got them going at one point)

pretty sure it just resets back to 2 years. they also state that if you spend ~$100 a month on your bill your contract is more likely 12-18 months. not sure how that applies to iphones but you might want to look into that

update....we have two iphone 3Gs we bought last year.

THe main line is eligible for the cheapest price upgrade, but the other phone on the "family" plan is not eillgible.

Bullshit IMO. Our bill is about $200 a month combined, its just heavily skewed towards the main line because of their pricing structure

Anyone know if AT&T can troubleshoot iphones at the store? I went to install 3.0 yesterday and received an error message. It then said I needed to restore my iphone. I tried to do this and got another error message. I then did some research and learned that I needed to put my phone in DFU mode, which is easier said than done. Tried this, got it to go into DFU mode finally, clicked restore when message came up, and got yet another error message saying it could not be restored.

Haven't tried re-installing iTunes or trying a different computer. Didn't know if AT&T would just laugh at me when I went there, or if they'd be able to troubleshoot.
