Since the husband is spending his day off with me in Raleigh, I cooked to his liking. Turkey hot dogs with homemade hot dog chili and baked beans.

i had steak fajitas from moe's last night

need to figure out what I want tonight. It is my turn to "decide" and purchase/"prep" (those quotations are in there because I picked moes last night from a list of 10 places and the fiance's "prep" was to pick it up on the way home and put it onto plates when she got home)

give me some idears people!

we did one of those a couple of weeks ago- was very tasty. We still have plenty of leftovers in the freezer too from it.

haha we should do a week of leftovers sometime- we have so much leftover chili, casseroles, lasgana/pastas, etc...

skrimp and veggies

if there's a world record for eating shrimp, i think i could challenge it.

also, saved the heads and shells.

hosting a dinner party in a few weeks and want to use a homemade shrimp stock for a lobster risotto.

another lb or so next week of shells/heads and i shoudl have enough.

woop woop

in a few weeks i'm slated to cook for the gf's new boss and his wife

gonna do some bacon wrapped scallops with a crisp prosecco

a lobster risotto (using the stock that i mentioned above), with a nice steak with some sort of crispy crust with this great barolo i found.. the steak cut/prep is something i havent decided on yet... was actually thinking of doing a grilled foie gras with it too, then could put a bold chard with the entire dish... idk. seems to me that a surf and turf style meal really might need two wines, but i dont want to do that. well shit even if i did the foie on the steak i'd like to put an earthy cab with the steak, and the chard for the lobster risotto and the foie, or maybe a savignon blanc, but that'd mask the steak. i really need a lot of help on wine pairings. for real. twwwwww hellpsss meeeeeeee... the risotto wont be overly rich, so suggest something that'll stand up to both.

then a raspberry chocolate torte with a muscat to finish

AND SOME CAP'N CRUNCH DUSTED CHICKEN NUGGETS and some veggies of some sort for their rug rats.

i'd like to put together a decent meal for them. plus when
