^^Sony reps handed out Infamous demos to Retailers a few weeks ago. The demo went up this week for them.

^Ghostbusters isn't out until June 16th or so.

I actually got the infamous demo from someone on NeoGAF who was kind enough to share their account info with me (demos are not limited to 5 activations).

I've played through the demo 3 times. And it's long. That NEVER happens.

been playing sacred 2 the last couple of days. It's very fun, its a very diablo 2 feel to it. The learning curve is a little steep though, been playing for a while and still getting used to the entire game & skill mechanics.

just played thru the inFamous demo. first of all, it's a great demo, with open world roaming after the first mission and a handful of stuff to do on the side. the gameplay is fun as shit. once i master the fighting, it's going to be really cool. this is def a first day buy on the 26th

So when they say you can download demos and shit in the background, what exactly do they mean the background of?

I just queued up the Infamous demo and then decided to watch a blu-ray movie to kill the time while it downloaded. When I got done with the movie, the demo was at 5%.

What a fucking piece of shit this thing is. Biggest waste of $400 I can think of.

Not really. There's absolutely no reason at all that the game shouldn't install automatically. There's nothing else you can do to a downloaded demo EXCEPT for install it. I could see if maybe there was an option to copy it to a memory stick so you could take it over to a friend's house to install or something, but there's literally nothing else you can do to a downloaded demo except for install it. so why would you ever want to download something and not install it? And yeah, it might only take a minute or 2 to install the demo, but why would I want to sit at an install screen for 2 minutes when I could be...oh, I dunno, actually playing the game? silly me.

Another thing I can't figure out. I just have the one downloadable free game that came with my bundle, Pain. All all the PSN games this stupid, or is it just this one? It's like they've never heard of the concept of a patch. Every time they add a new character to the game they re-release the entire game to be downloaded all over again. So no matter if I buy a new character or not, if there is a new one, I have to spend an hour (I'm not even exaggerating) downloading the entire game AGAIN so I can play it. Yeah, who wants to actually play games when you can watch download bars crawl across the screen? How exciting. Oh, and no background downloading for you. Updating a game is serious business. This powerful gaming machine can't handle anything else at the same time.

I am watching movies today while I download demos. If it installed after downloading I would have to stop my movie every time one finished.

thats not even my point, the way the machine is set up, you cannot install anything in the background, so that is why it is ok to not auto-install automatically.
