Some guy who I thought was my friend has been avoiding me (he'd do shit like say we could hang out on such and such day, and then he'd never show up). So eventually I said to myself "fuck him, he's not my friend anymore."

Then I found out he did all of this because he was sick with a brain tumor that he'd had for a few years and didn't even know about.

I gave up on my friend needlessly.

In fairness the Cubans were frequently counterfeits, the knife was broken, the knicknacks were garbage and Peruvian food isn't great.

In fourth grade I sent a series of threatening letters to student-run organizations (including the little "school post office), threatening them vaguely if they didn't improve their service.
