I'm on my 3rd prestige and haven't used a sniper rifle since I bought the game. I made a class for shits and giggles and in my second game using it got this:



Needless to say I was pretty stoked. I'm "working" in NOLA right now, so I won't be playing until this weekend. I haven't started itching or getting the shakes from withdrawl yet, thankfully this city has plenty to keep me occupied. Still nice to SPITF vicariously through you guys.

i have the x31s - love em except for the audio cable to connect to the controller. i wish they found a way to get rid of that because when it comes loose, there's mic static everyone else hears and it has come loose after a few months of play.

yeah im really liking the X41 X1..been using it for about a month now. Sometimes the mic wont work though...I have to unplug and reattach the mic connections for a few minutes and it eventually comes on.

shit youre talking about the fancy pants version. The X1 is good though..highly recommended.

yea the x41s are the top end (at the moment i think) turtle beach wireless ones. i got that particular model so i could run optical in the headphone receiver and back out to my a/v receiver.

supposed to get 20-some hours of life, though i'm just on the set that came with. i'm definitely going to get some rechargeables. there is a little bit of a hiss if no sound is playing, i'm assuming thats the wireless aspect of it. but during the game i don't really notice. i did notice some interference from my wireless router (occasionally sound dropped) so i moved the receiver a few feet away and it cleared up.

the big thing for me was it had a surround decoder than could send surround to headphones -- didn't really want to buy a new A/V receiver just for that. so if you have a receiver that does Dolby Surround, you could put the money into getting a banging set of headphones.

I have a wireless surround sound system (the 2 rear speakers have a separate receiver that connect wirelessly with the front receiver) so I may get interference from that along with my router.... And I definitely want a headset with a mic - so just fancy basic headphones are out.

btw, the headset jack on the bottom of the 360 controllers just uses a standard mini jack...you can go to radio shack or walmart and look in the telephone accessories section, and if you find a headset that has one mini jack (as opposed to two: one for microphone, one for speakers), you can use this with your 360

its not gonna give you bad ass surround sound, but you can get one for like $9

do the headphones make a huge difference? I have a normal surround setup where i have home theater, and while I can hear gunshots and shit coming from the surround speakers, I don't feel like it really helps me figure out where the fuck people are.
