haha slovakia rolling on the ground at every opportunity

reminds me of the umd-ncsu game where umd was out of timeouts so friedgen had two offensive linesmen run into each other and fall down grabbing their legs

and it worked

this is what Italy gets for trying to walk through group play like they were guaranteed a spot in the knockout round just for being Italy. Maybe if they dove a little less and played as hard as they did this 2nd half they would have earned advancement. Either way, I have no problems seeing them go home.

so much for this being a boring WC

the final game group stage games have all been intense as hell

yea this has not been a boring WC at all. You could argue the 1st round of group play but not the last 2 by any means.

which is good!

unlike colin cowherds choad replacement who thought the us has 2 (or nearly 2) scoreless draws.... fucking idiot, then he was saying how he watched the last match....

dude you're supposed to be watching or at least KNOW the scores for all 3 games... not a lot going on right now, i think you could take the 5 min to at least have the scores in front of you before you go spouting off the wrong results

I haven't followed the World Cup, but what's all this recent commotion about Vuvuzelas (sp?)? It seems like it's the buzz word for every media outlet, they love hearing the sound of their own voices just mentioning them.

They don't seem new to me, been seeing them for many years. So, what's with all the attention they've been getting lately? They make a new noise they didn't make before, or is it related to a massive increase in how many people in the crowd have one?

yeah, I was talking to a co-worker about this the other day because he was asking me if I had one. And I was like, I'm pretty sure you've seen somebody at a game before with a long, annoying horn and he said "oh yeah, I have seen those at some of the high school football games"

I guess it's never been a stadium full of people with them so they're more noticeable? Or because they have a name like vuvuzela instead of just "horn?"

yeh, how can you put a team in Mexico ahead of a team like Uruguay, when Uruguay beat them?

Among other things about that list.

i pick my list not only on world cup play but potential, all factors put together mexico is way better than uruguay, they just had a bad game against them

teams like england still r not playing to potential but they can easily beat any team on the list, so we'll see

God, if I could suspend you from this thread alone I would have already. That said, I've warned you to knock off the trolling. Last warning. If you try and derail by trolling everyone about the US or if you do anything to fuck up this thread again, you are gone until the end of the World Cup. Consider this your last warning

If you have a problem with that, don't fuck up this thread -- do it via PM.

*** Also, for everyone, if people are in here trying to derail the thread let me know via PM since that's the only way I'll be able to deal with it. I'm not gonna be on very much until Sunday or so really (busy weekend) so the only way I'll check TWW is through my Iphone -- I only really check PMs on there since it's a pain to browse.

@ NyM410

Didn't realize it didn't page wrap, sorry. I was just vocalizing what he said. I don't think that falls into trolling or derailing or anything!

That celebration was awesome! We should get Mexican announcers on ESPN.

Tobacco Road and Hibernian were both WALL to WALL with screaming fans during the England game... gotta get their VERY early though. I got there at 1pm and couldn't even get seats for the 2:30 game.

^^^ fair enough, man... just got a few complaints about the USA trolling too. Don't really want to warn for differing views but people thought you went a bit too far. Just tone it down a bit, even if you are being sarcastic.

haha yea those are great. I am soooo glad a few friends and I decided to leave work to head to a place near us down here because I probably would have yelled out loud at work (no joke). I was (along with everyone else at the bar) jumping up and down, yelling, high-fiving everyone around me. Some people had brought vuvuzelas to the bar and used them (only time they used them), two guys were running around waiving american flags, the bar owners threw a few adidas balls into the mayhem for people to grab (no one knew what was going on with those though, it was honestly kind of weird haha). I honestly wish I had a reaction video at the bar I was at just so I could re-watch it (mainly to see how stupid we looked )

I went to lunch early at a Mexican restaurant where I was the only US fan. I was screaming and yelling "Los Aritros van a tomar este gol tambien?" Which made all the Hispanic people rofl.

Also, god damn HONDA!
