If (and it's a big if) all these rumors are true about purvis causing problems behind the scenes and poisoning the well with randle, then my main problem with Gott in this situation is that he didn't kick his ass off the team.

Maybe all this "great" recruiting is smoke and mirrors. We can only pull the top recruits that are headcases.

Player retention becoming a major issue. A lot of blame can be placed on Gott but I do think we've got a ton of headcases both before and after he got here.

If there's one thing I can give credit to herb for was his teams were fairly level headed.

Any season we make the tourney is automatically better than any season we don't. Disappointment and failure are different things.

I may end up more disappointed in season 3 of Game of Thrones than I am in the next season of honey boo boo but I would still consider the latter to be more of a failure.

Funny thing is we had no recruits last year because of the coaching change so we have no sophomores.

Our juniors were golden gods so they are obviously going to the nba where they belong.

Our seniors were key players so we are left with nothing but freshmen to return

the most we can retain is two of those freshmen.

They were not even consistent in college its easy to say they will be josh powells at best.

BTW Duke lost to the best team in the country AFTER they became more motivated than ever.

Also, the boys from Spokane had a damn good year despite being ""upset"" (haha gonzaga sucks told you so) by a team that is actually great and in the final four now.

Duke lost in the elite 8 to the best team in the country who had just seen their best friend get shot equivalent. I would say the undefeated season was pretty good considering they exceeded preseason expectations.

Speaking of expectations, its no mistake that Carolina, Duke, Kansas, Syracuse, Ohio State, and every other major program keep guys coming back who are much better than brown and leslie. They have guys leave early but those are only your absolute stars. Guys that flat out dominate at the college level. Even then they always seem to stay one extra year past dominating college and being a first round pick.
