Yeah doom resurrection is pretty sweet. I tried it out for free on the 1st gen, and it's well worth the $10 so I bought it so I could play it on the 3GS.

I like the voice control feature...but i wish we could setup alternate names or something like that.

i'd rather say "call bill mobile" instead of "call william wilkenson mobile"
and default numbers
so i could just say "call bill" and it rings his mobile

ill tell ya one thing i dont like about the 3gs is the home button. it feels stiffer, doesn't have as much feedback as the other home buttons. i wonder what they were trying to accomplish with that change. if its just a new phone vs old phone thing, meaning it'll loosen with time, i didn't notice this with the last one...

yeah, it's a on rails shooter. But it's still pretty fun and the graphics are downright amazing for a phone.

Mine is really stiff as well. At first it was hard to get used to, but not I don't even notice it anymore. But I would prefer it feel the same as my old phone.

I would imagine that with all the bug reports, fixing as many of them as possible would be the main objective for 3.1.

Although, if that were the case, I would have expected it to be 3.0.1, but I suppose that's a minor quibble.

you can.
in the contact edit screen, go down to Add Field and select Nickname. enter it there.

not sure about default numbers, but at least you can do names that way.

folders aren't part of the POP specification, and there isn't a way to add them in the mail app for local management.

you are all speaking a different language now... and, at least when I did it before (not using gmail), that forwarding shit was annoying as hell, everything in the inbox would be from "me" at my work account so I have to open every email to see who it is from (and I get about 100-200 legitimate work emails a day probably), and the original sender wouldn't be in the reply line, etc...don't know if gmail does it any different or not.

Sounds like whoever manages your email is retarded, no offense.

You should be able to forward them so that they stay from the original sender. I do it on several accounts with no issues... Hell, nobody would do it if the only way to do it was to send everything to yourself

^^What you are talking about is literally forwarding emails to another account. example:

Account A is where you want to check all your accounts
Account B is where you setup to forward all incoming emails to a new address.

this is why you get the problem where everything is from you.

the way gmail works is similar to how you would config outlook by adding a new 'pop3/imap' account

Account A is where you want to check all your accounts. This is where you setup your 'fwd' by setting up a new pop3 account inside your gmail settings (account B)

Account B is the email you want to receive on gmail.
