Any Chance Rosenbaum comes back to Smallville? I miss the Lex connection. He made evil seem so cool, although I can do without the 3 minute stare downs between Clark and Lex.

Having the other heroes in the finale was pointless. Other than Green Arrow (who is a regular anyway so I don't include him as an "other") none of them served a purpose. Why not have Hawkman get into a showdown with a Kandorian after losing contact with watchtower? would have been sweet.

The Kandorian would've destroyed him.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Rosenbaum make a cameo. I can't imagine they're really go through the effort of putting him in the open if they weren't going to at least try and bring him back.

I have never watched this show and it looks dumb as hell.

However, I cut on my TV tonight and was surprised to see that Terence Stamp is the voice of Jor-El.

Full circle from General Zod.

This could be potential spoilers but it was all in the promo vid:

So it looks like Lex, Lionel, and Jonathan are all coming back? At least in some kind of flashback/dream form.

More Legion makes me happy, and it looked like Chloe takes Dr. Fate's helmet!?!?! This should be interesting.

I have a strong feeling that Chloe dies by the end of the season.

End spoilers

^^Haha yeah I started watching this show back when I was in high school. Damn it's been a long time. I can't think of any other show that I've watched all the way from Season 1 having seen every episode.

I've never watched one episode of this (I always thought it looked like Superman for girls) but that preview does look kind of neat.

But this series has got Dr. Fate?

The show has been pretty good about explaining references to previous seasons. There hasn't been too much overlap other than a season finale into the next season premiere.

this was the best premiere episode i can remember ever watching. not sure why daddy kent was there, but the conversation they had was written beautifully and had some great emotion to it

I would have rather seen the return of real Lex...but I guess that isn't happening

damn you Michael Rosenblaum

Very good season premier, I like what I saw. But who was that evil at the end looking like black sand/wind? I did not recognize that. So Chloe traded herself for Oliver?

There was an article in EW where the producers of the show claimed they've tried everything to get both him and Kristin Kreuk back for this season, but to no avail. Personally I couldn't care less if Lana comes back, but I would love to see Michael Rosenbaum back for the last season, even if it were only a cameo. I mean, they're bringing back even more characters from past seasons (I won't say who since some may not want to know), but bringing back Lex should be the ultimate goal for a killer final season.

So I happened to catch the last 10 minutes of the episode, where Jonathan comes back. I thought to myself "its probably just a dream here, but maybe the writers threw in something wild and Jonathan is back for real, and somehow this isn't a dream." But then it was all just a dream.

God this show blows. Cant stand the high school-level drama and emo clark kent whining in every episode something to the tune of "WAAAAA every time i have to make a choice somebody suffers WAAAAAAAA". and im also tired of people finding out his secret and then getting their memories erased or imagining his abilities being from a dream. i cant possibly see how his relationship with lois, which IMO was introduced in this show prematurely, can possibly become anything like it was in the comics/cartoons.

I, for one, would be completely fine with that. It's not really an outfit that a person can wear without looking laughable.

They've really started moving away from that. More people know than don't know at this point, and I think Lois now knows for good.

^That's a joke, right? It happens like twice per episode to somebody.

Quote :
" * In the episode Blank, both Lois Lane and Sherriff Nancy Adams learned Clark's secret after watching him save Chloe by catching two falling columns. However, all three women had their minds wiped by Kevin Grady. Since it only took away a few minutes of time, Chloe still remember what she learned months ago and earlier that day.
* In an alternate universe, Clark used his powers in front of Lois Lane. Her immediate reaction was to assume that he was a meteor freak, but Clark corrected her misunderstanding, saying, "I'm not a meteor freak." This was after Lois said: "Pretty handy having a meteor freak on my side." (Apocalypse)
* Lois learned his secret again in an alternate timeline in which he revealed his powers to her so she could write an article about him. He even told her about being an alien. When Clark reversed time, this never occurred. (Infamous)
* In the episode Doomsday, Jimmy Olsen found out Clark's secret when he saw Clark's cut heal instantaneously before his eyes, after which Clark told Jimmy he was the Red-Blue Blur, referring to the episode Identity when Jimmy connected the Blur with Clark based on photos. Clark threw off this suspicion by getting Oliver Queen to dress up in a red-and-blue costume and save Jimmy from a mugging.
* Clark's former friend and enemy Lex Luthor learned that Clark was the Traveler from Brainiac (disguised as Kara) at the end of Season 7, in Arctic. Lex had discovered parts of his secret several times before this event but each time concluded in a circumstance that caused him to either forget or in one instance the timeline was reversed as if it had not happened at all.
* Season Three, Shattered - Clark destroys a car moving towards him in front of Lex. While Lex mentions this he appears to be delusional due to some drugging by Lionel's servants.
* Season Three, Asylum - Lex has refrained from mentioning Clark's secret to anyone. Clark intends to free him from Belle Reve before he is able to have his memories of the past six months removed (even if it means that Lex will know his secret). Clark is unsuccessful in prevent the electrotherapy from occuring, thus Lex's knowledge of his secret is gone.
* Season Four, Blank - Kevin, a boy who can cause people to temporarily lose their memory, turns his powers on Clark and causes him to have total amnesia - to the point where Clark forgets he has superpowers. Chloe has figured out that Clark has powers, and so she looks after him and teaches him about his superpowers while simultaneously trying to keep them secret. Later, Clark recovers his memories but forgets about his day.
* Season Five, Reckoning - Clark reveals his secret to Lana and proposes to her. She accepts, but dies shortly after. He resets time, and decides not to tell her his secret.
* Season Six, Crimson - While both of them are under the influence of red kryptonite, Clark reveals his powers to Lois due to being compared to Oliver. After Lois is no longer under the influence of the Kryptonite, she forgets everything that happened, including Clark's secret.
* Season Eight, Abyss - Chloe's memories are being deleted by Brainiac, including her knowledge of Clark's secret. Clark brings her to the Fortress of Solitude to have Jor-El restore her memories; her memories are restored but at Clark's request, she has no recollection of Clark's powers or of Krypton.
* Season Eight, Infamous - Clark tells the whole world about his secret, but Linda Lake makes the world think he is an alien who has come to destroy the earth. Clark uses the Legion ring to go back to before Lake wrote her story, and defeat her."

My question was who doesn't remember anymore, meaning right now has no recollection of Clark's powers that at one point did.

In most of those cases, they found out again anyway (Lex, Chloe, Lois, Lana). Jimmy should not count in that list since his memory was never erased, he was only misled to believe otherwise.

I'll give you the sheriff, but that's the only one on your list that remained in the dark.

It's also pretty annoying how just about anyone he saves gets knocked out by the slightest bump so that they are not conscious when he uses his powers.

The costume looked pretty good in Superman Returns a few years ago.

Despite the fact that I've watched Smallville for 10 years, I just don't particularly like Superman and I've never really liked the costume. Not to mention it would stick out like a sore thumb in Smallville where everything has sort of a dark look to it.

I've learned I do like Brandon Routh though, so it's disappointing that the whole Superman Returns thing didn't work out.

it seems the purpose of this show is now to highlight and showcase how many times superman 'fucked up' as a teenager before he finally "got it"

seriously...he fucks up everything he possibly can in every single episode. releasing spirits, having so much faith in villains, etc.

i used to think superman was an awesome super-hero but i really just want to see the awesome side of him. i hate seeing the conflicted, doubtful, fucking-up-things side of superheroes. even though i know it adds depth to their fictional characters, yadda yadda yadda...i swear i just want someone to make a Lois & Clark type show again where he just fucking saves the day every day and that's it.
