NO, with the Twerps actions on and off the field.. the annoyingness and arrogance of their fans, and the classlessness of their team, coach, organization... I for one want to KILL them next year, moreso than I do for FSU or VT.

THey now rank right up there with UNC.. only their arrogance is unfounded. They've never achieved anything.

No guys, UMD and NCSU is hatred heating up in Football and BBall.

We dont have a rivalry with UNC because they flat out suck.

FSU and us isnt really a rivalry per say, we respect them, they respect us. Shit is talked, yes, but not hatred.

We have em in FBall, but then they get one int, or fumble, in the last mins of a game and win with a gay FG. And talk shit again.

Its not just one way either, we took their spot to the Gator Bowl. We beat FSU, Duke, they haven't.

How is it that Maryland has the two biggest asshole coaches in the ACC anyways? I mean that sucks. You have Gary Williams who is an embarrasment to the ACC with his loud, dirty, mouth. I remember the championship game in Bball.. I used to cringe. F-this, F-off, F-you ref!. What an ass. I hope Friedgen eats him.

Then there's Freidgen. I mean not quite as hatable as Gary Williams, he's more of the silent asshole type. Like "Hey team, go kill NC State's drummer and break his drum" then act like you didnt know what was going on.


At least both of our coaches are class acts. Hate Sendek all you want, but at least he represents our school well. I just dont think I could go to a Bball game and listen to Gary's annoying ass yell at everyone all game... or go to football and see Fridge's fat ass eat all game.

I have to agree that there is a rivilry building between us and Maryland if you look at both football and basketball. I hope we freaking kill them this year too, now that basketball is coming around. It felt so good to be the last team to give them there defeat before they marched on to the NCAA championship, and the history between Hodge and Blake definitly became the groundwork for something that people anticipated in seeing.

I hate the University of Mass Disfunction....

They have far less class than any organization I have ever seen. I think if the Taliban were playing UMD, I'd pull for the Taliban. They're by far the worst school in existence, and should be immediately wiped out. I'll give reasons:
1) Their fans are assonine and impolite. The UMD game in 2000 in College Park was one of the worst experiences of my life. Only there have I ever seen a guy get kicked out of the stadium THREE times for his actions, and each time he somehow got back in to taunt our fans. If you are walking along and a UMD fan is walking your way, they WILL NOT move out of your way. It is obviously their god given right to walk wherever they please, including right over you. The world is obviously their playground, and we're only here to clean up their messes (i.e. Oranges on OUR field in 2001).
2) Their teams are classless and rude. Steve Blake is the only proof I have to give of this. He represents everything that was and still is wrong with the UMD program. Their athletes seem to think that they are the rulers of all...taunting after a winning fg. Note to UMD: YOU DO NOT HAVE TRADITION! ONE NATL CHAMPIONSHIP in basketball does NOT constitute a tradition, and your best player ever drugged himself to death before he ever got to prove himself in the pros. Also, your football team gets LUCKY. If all we needed to win the game was a HELMET-TO-HELMET hit on a runningback to make him fumble the ball, I would have put on a helmet and pads and speared someone too. You have to cheat to win, so it's not really winning. I hope there is a circle in hell reserved for the UMD sports teams of recent years.
3) Their campus is ugly and stupid. College Park is the cess pool that resides outside Washington D.C. The main street looks like a ghost town, with boarded up windows and abandoned houses. The hotel we stayed in in 2001 looked like a pile of crap, and I don't think I've ever been afraid to walk out of the hotel room at night, like I was that night for fear of being shot. Their buildings have the subject taught inside written in big letters on the outside. This is no doubt a way for drunk stoned coked out college students to still be able to find their way to class on weekdays.

And one last thing. UMD, you SPELL in your fight song. Now, is that an undergraduate course there, or a graduate level course?????

Yes, two years ago.

They also won the 1953 National Football Championship

However, they have been the perrenial ACC doormat in between, have a losing record to nearly every team in football in the ACC, and are 4th all time in basketball in the ACC win %... behind North Carolina, Duke, and State. In that order I believe.

Yet they claim supremacy and act like they're Gods gift to the earth becuase they've been decent at sports for about 4 years.
