theres already an annoyingly high number of threads where the first post is either a link to a similar thread or a link to a keyword search with a similar thread at the top. that would go way up if we couldnt search before creating topics. and no i wont pay just to use the search

i'm with moonman- the number of repeat threads would go up and we couldn't fuss at them for doing it either, because they wouldn't have the option to search for an old one. the lag wouldn't be fixed by linking either, because then there would just be a surplus of repeat threads to cause the lag.

^yeah, dont need to store any threads after 3 months(when they are locked). Delete them, of course, i beleive that if you delete them, peoples posts count will decrease, that is sacred to some people...
