Explain to me again why this message board doesn't have sticky threads?

We seriously need on in tech talk, it would cut down the random problem threads 10 fold

i dont really know that phrase

but judging by the context, you must mean mod threads that always stay at the first page somewhere, and are FAQs of sorts

i can think of about 50 "sticky threads" off the top of my head

if all the redundant threads were kept at the "top of the page" chit chat would have about 5 pages before any new threads even started

i do think its a great idea for Tech Talk or maybe sports; Chit Chat would have to be the only section that did not use sticky threads/topics

chit chat threads should be deleted if there is a 10 minute gap between the current time and the last post.

that way people like me who get no replies to their threads would quickly realize they are just in the way for the elitests.

why not have a new section for questions

all the n00by topics like posting pics and how to change your status name type things can be put in there

if anything new came up the n00bs could post in there and it could be like a huge section just for stupid questions, or questions we think are stupid anyway

there's another ncsu student forum like this and they have sticky threads. in fact the forum is much nicer than this one.
