This place needs some kinda of chat service. I lot of the threads get responded to every few minutes or so, it' be neat if a chat service could be set up to automattically display updated posts and allow people to reply to the post through this service. Just a thought.

well when the chat was up a select few chatted in there... but there were some problems that some of the members could not access the chat it just would not load. I liked the chat room it is more addicting then tww itself.

scud did host the chat room and it was used....just not 24 hours a day. So when somebody would come in and nobody was talking they'd just assume either everybody else was sleeping and not talking and would just up and leave without saying anything. It was unfortunate because when we got the room going with 15+ people it'd get very interesting and like Lizz said it was more addicting than the lounge. I'll have it back up by weeks end...sort of.

If I remember right, when it was cold it was COLD and nobody talked, but when it was hot it was so hot that few people in the world could read everything that was being typed.
It was alot of fun, but it made my head hurt after about 30 minutes.

yeah i think chat would be better left to the real chat programs...

and after all since everybody can put their AIM name up and it's so easy to click and add someone to your buddy list... just use AIM

or.. someone go set up an IRC chan for tww

(200kb/sec) / (2 bytes per letter, color bold etc) / (60 letters per line) = 1700 lines per second
