^it's only $3 for the $100 deposit

I don't know what the other fees are when you deposit higher amounts but not that much I'd suspect

I'd love to see one of you guys on BoDog.

Let me know if any of you deposit.

Here's the link if you want to check it out for yourself :http://www.nucharge.net/

So I was just in a hand where the flop came: 9-10-Q with the 10 and Q being clubs

I had pocket 9's

dude ahead of me raises $2 (were in a .50/1 6person max game)

I reraise to $5

dude goes all-in for ~$90

What should I do?

I folded btw. I wasn't at the table long enough to get a read but something was fishy about his initial raise and reraise.

What stakes to you play at?

I'm usually at the .50/1 games and sometimes venture in the 1/2

I'm real comfortable with the 1/2 but I don't yet have the stack to consistantly play there

I know for Pstars I have a debit card now, just use it as an ATM card.

Also, it's bout tax time and I don't feel like sacrificing my bankroll to pay taxes, so I have the following books i'll make someone a deal on.

Phil Gordon's Little Green Book - Phil Gordon
Harrington on Hold'em Vol 1 - Dan Harrington
Ken Warren Teaches Texas Hold'em - Ken Warren
Killer Poker Online - John Vorhaus
Killer Poker Online 2 - John Vorhaus

The harrington book in particular is really nice for beginners.

i think withdrawing from bodog is pretty annoying actually.....also the sng action is atrocious. plo cash games are pretty juicy though as long as you aren't looking for 400max or higher.

My very first hand today

I won't even try and post the Bodog hand history cuz it sucks:

I'm in a 1/2 game and have AA

guy raises $8, everyone folds to me.

I reraise to $20

he calls....flop comes 6-2-3 with the 6 and 3 being diamonds

I act first and raise to $25, he reraises to $50 and at that point I knew he was weaksauce

I smooth call and then immediately check(i forgot the turn card but it wasn't a diamond nor was it scary), he goes all in like i suspected for ~$115 and I call immediately

another bullshit card comes out and he flips over his 77

I win $200 in my first hand of the day

GREAT idea

but be warned cuz the players on here are fucking idiots

I've played at pokerstars, partypoker and pokerroom for money and BoDog by far has the most idiotic players.

i've never seen a bigger collection of donkeys ever

i'll be in the 1/2 tables and watch people win $100+ pots with such bullshit

I know it happens at every site but it happens way more often on Bodog

For people who play online often, what type of table do you feel that you get the most money on? 6 person or 9 person tables? Or less?

I know it depends on what type of player you are. I would say I am a somewhat conservative online player who bluffs when I need to.

I seem to do better at the 6 person tables, especially at the lower limits. Its a lot easier to beat 5 morons at a table than 8 or 9

haha so I just won another ~$100....and up $400+ today

I'm in a .5/1 game. I got AQ diamonds and there is a preflop raise of $3 with 3 total people in the hand (including me).

flop comes J-10-someshitcard with the J-10 being diamonds.

Dude who initially raised, raises another $7. Me and another dude smooth call.

Out comes a K of clubs . First dude checks, initial raiser raises $9.

First dude reraises to $18, initial raiser calls and I reraise to $36

First dude goes all-in, initial raiser folds and I call immediately

First dude also has AQ but his is unsuited

River comes and its a diamond

REJOICE I have a flush, I am $100 richer at the mercy of the other poor sucker with an awesome hand

If I am not mistaken (I could be).... but I always thought a "smooth call" was one in which you have a significantly better hand and call a bet with the hope of enticing the bettor to try and bet at the pot again.

If that's the case, then your call on a draw is not a "smooth call", just a call.

i'm actually about to move from bodog to ub i think, pilgrim why move to bodog there is no sng action and very weak tourney action. i mean even if you are planning on playing cash it's nice to have the option to play some sngs when cash nlhe gets boring, which i mean it will in like two days right?

I very recently made the decision to switch over to limit oh8 (from plo), we'll see how it goes.

instead went back to ub

and sent NoidRoid a check

and he transferred me the loot.

^^ Funny you mention it, I convinced him to join UB over bodog yesterday. The 30% rakeback + weekly pts to cash promo + compatability with poker tracker and PA HUD are all a big deal.

He signed up for his rakeback under me so I transfered him $500 up front and he'll just send me a check for it. Anyone else interested in a similiar deal should let me know, getting funded by a transfer will save you the effort and fees from epass/click2pay or however else.

I'm also gonna datamine him for a couple days and give some feedback on his 6max game(I play that professionally for anyone that doesnt know). Anyone that wants rakeback under me and lives around here can sit next to me while I play a couple sessions and I will do my best to explain why certain things I do are profitable.

question about that...

when you datamined me,

it was just for those tables i sat at while we were talking right

They got silly tight after a bit, and i changed soon after, then got beat up.

(then 4/10th'd a $109 sng. )

BUT OH WE BACK

pm me with more details about the rakeback, do i have to sign up under you and you get a certain % of my rake and i get some too? i don't think i'll be playing much hold em, but you can datamine me for tourneys or oh8 if ya want, i'm assuming there is good action with limit oh8 on ub, i haven't checked it out yet, but there is NOTHING on bodog.

I shouldnt say "get rakeback under me", that makes it sound like I've started my own rakeback site where I'm personally calculating MGR and paying people. I'm just talking about using me as a referral for joining a large reputable rakeback site, where I get 2% of your MGR for as long as you use the account. That comes out of the rakeback site's end, not out of the 30% you get.

jesus

noidroid just sent a pm that basically deconstructed exactly what I did last night, and highlighted some points that I was pretty sure i was off on, but need to work on.

post flop aggression too low in relation to turn and river aggression... etc

ok heres a hand from last night that i feel i really donked up hard

One of those where, as you are making the play, as soon as you get called you feel like you dropped your pants and dont know why, but the only way to keep going is to bet the pot again on the turn and pray

ok, so im sitting with 230bbs in the sb.

button has me covered, with 240bbs, we have the rest of the table covered, its fairly deep however, with avg. stack being about 130bbs.

sb with AsKs, 6 max no limit

2 limps, button makes it 6bbs.

button is fairly tight, hasn't shown to get out of line yet.

i just call.

bb calls

1 limper calls.

pot goes 4 ways for 25 bbs.

flop is 7c 7s Kc

i check, bb checks, limper checks, button of course bets 20bbs.

i raise to 60bbs.

folds around, button thinks, and calls.

turn is the Jc.

i lead out (more of a continuation bluff really, just representing the 7 on the flop... gotta keep going now right? he has to fold aces here i think if i bet enough) for 100bbs.... easy call.

fock

heres the problem... ive got like 50 bbs left, and am committed like hell

anything he can call that with, hes got me killed to a king.

rivers a red 2, so i go ahead and push giving him great odds with anything.

poorly played, bad way to go broke, or just unfortunate timing?

(for one, i know the turn bet was garbage, but i dont know where to go from there

checking the turn is weak
pushing just seems dumb
betting seems ok, but i dont know how much wihtout having a piddly bet on the river i have to call off....

just confused mysef here, and hate bluffing off 200+ bbs on garbage like tptk, even if it is 6max

(button has JJ)

^^ every week UB lets you convert all the UB pts you earned into cash at:

.03/pt for 750-999 pts earned that week
.05/pt for 1000-1999
.075/pt for 2000+

I usually get 1000-1999 pts/week for ~$50-80, a couple of weeks I played enough sitngos to reach the 2k+ level for $150+

It's a juicy little promo that only counts 25% against you MGR, if anything.
