i think it would be cool to have a 'news' section where ppl could post stories or links for interesting/relevant cnn, wral, etc stories

this would (hopefully) eliminate the problem of people posting the same "breaking stories" multiple times in the lounge

and since the only breaking stories posted on the front pg are NCSU related, i think there is a place for a section like this

The only stories on the front page are ncsu stories because that's all people submit.

yeah, but oftentimes there are a lot of news stories in the lounge that the editors wouldn't want on the front page -- the front page would be overrun otherwise
