my only real problem with this is that we have failed to capture the lifestyle part of BDSM. You have to remember, for some people this is not about sex. For many, its a way of life, to submit yourself fully to another human being.

Bondage is exciting in itself, but add on top of that the desire to do anything your Domme wishes... anything to make her happy. Most true D/s relationships are extremely private, no pictures are taken and they don't make it obvious outside of the home. One who is educated in the manner could see the subtile clues, but to the outsider, there is no difference in any other couple.

This topic came up in a discussion at work the other day... We were talking about relationships and one lady said that she couldn't see herself in a BDSM type relationship on any level because she can't mentally handle thinking about someone beating her or beating someone.. but i had to tell her that its not all about beating and violence... in fact, there is no true violence.

I am a submissive and a masochist, though i do have a sadistic side every once in a while. I find the fact that I'm "forced" to do certain things during our sessions extremely relaxing and having my ass reddened is an excellent stress reliever. I know a lot of you out there object to this kind of thing, but after doing lots of research, i have found that many people feel the same way about it.

now that is seriously dangerous...

this is why we have the safe, sane and consensual rule... and that is definately what safewords are for

furthermore... what is bondage without the D/s roles... someone has to decide they want to submit their control and give their trust to another human being... and the other has to be willing to trust themselves enough to carry out said bondage...
