well if the dj doesnt like your request they wont play it most the time. I know this sounds stupid but if you request Metallica and the person is playing Mates of State chances are you wont hear your request.

KNC has gone waaaaaaay downhill since I was at NCSU. I liked it better when you'd turn it on during the day and hear some heavy shit like metal or punk. Now it's all just "fag rock" and whiny emo shit. I still have it programmed into my car radio but I haven't listened to it in months...

Its almost frustrating how bad KNC is now. I used to work there and loved it, and our hard work paid off in magazine recognition and the like. Now its pretty much like listening to the same song constantly. Very, very sad when 96 rock has more flair and better music. WTB XM radio.

I remember when you worked there. I used to listen online at work and would sometimes make requests and they always got played. I think you filled one of mine one time for some Bad Religion or something. Now I don't even bother...

you mean mojo on the radio? ha, i have been making that point about him forever, i cant stand him and i seriously think there is a correlation between knc sucking and him being there. everytime i hear him on the radio it sounds like he's trying out for g105 to me. i remember when they used to play new songs and it was pretty cool, i havent listened regularly in like a year and they still play those exact same songs on a loop that were 'new' last year. its sad really. i really cant stand the "all rock" format they seem to have gone to.

make a request on 96 rock (for something that isn't already in heavy rotation) and see how it never gets played.

Mojo on the radio a.k.a Dave is now the GM of the station. However, except for when he is on air, that will have nothing to do with the music on the station. The music that is played is the responsibility of the program director, the music director, and the individual DJ.

If you don't like the all-rock stuff, take it up with Jared, who was program director for the last year. Don't blame Dave, he had nothing to do with it.

Well Dave (the new GM and the guy who does the promos now) has only been GM for about a week or two now. And the rock format has been in effect since this summer (at least im pretty sure). Now i do understand that alot of the stuff that is played during the day is "fag rock" and I really no control over that since its not my job to put stuff into the computer. During my short 2 hours i try my best to play request. But I get plently of requests so apparently people are listening. HOLLA!
