That article said its possible cuz of a tight groin. But it didn't sound serious, and they're going to call up another supposedly good pitching prospect to get the start Wednesday.

Sweet Heaven, I hope the young prospect is good. I can't remember the last time the Yankee pitchers have performed so poorly shitty.

Yeah really...GET RID OF KEVIN BROWN. Jesus Christ

6 runs in the first inning to TAMPA BAY...goddamn.

And that's like the third time he's given up 4+ runs in the first inning.

AL is hitting .346 against him. It may be time to sit him a bit until he can figure things out.

it wasnt in the playoffs...it was in late August.

Sean Henn is going to be good...the defense killed him last night. He had a fastball that touched 95mph and decent control. Give him a year or 2...but they will probably trade him before that.

The Yanks are 11-17. in May of 2003, they went 11-17. I see no reason why they cant climb out of this hole, especially since the O's arent going to stick around all year, and the Sox arent as tough as last season.

Right now matsui isnt hitting, sierra and sturtze are on the DL...when we get those 3 guys back to their normal style of play, it will make us deeper.

Ok, you gotta be worried now having lost three to the DRays and then losing to Barry Zito who's been lit up by everyone and spotting the awful Oakland offense six runs.

Just finding ways to lose right now. That can't last all season. It just can't.

you know how there's always that asshole on the road with the expensive sports car that weaves through traffic at 100mph when everyone is goin 60-70. All you think is "I hope they wreck"

Well, that's the Yankees. And they're wrecking.

Moose was clutch yesterday, but Brown is pitching today.

I hope he doesn't screw it up.

OH MY GOD...Brown pitched well. Yanks won 6-0.

His first warm-pitch hit the backstop on a fly and then hit allowed 5 hits in 7 seven innings. He got out of a no-out bases loaded jam and a two-out bases loaded jam.

A-Rod homered in the fourth and Tino and Posada hit back-to-back homers in the eighth.

Good job Brown. I won't call for your head today, but don't get comfortable.

That's why I said no need to get comfortable.

Let's see him do it consistently, then I'll stop praying before he pitches.

I'm praising this performance, not Brown.

This particular pitching performance was praiseworthy; that's all I'm saying.

Nothing hostile here. I'm happy to see two wins in a row. I'm hoping its a sign of them righting the ship.

Johnson's got the ball with a little momentum for the first time in a month, so I'm excited to see how it goes.

nah, its probably more like Yankees fans getting annoyed when you twist everything stated by yankee fans.

And yes I'm happy about our good outings this weekend, but no I still have no faith in Brown.

Randy Johnson gives eight strong innings. Two-run homer by Tino...MUCH needed 4-3 win.

Rookie Weng is starting tonight against Sele.

GO YANKS!

GOOD...that's the kind of thing he needs to get his confidence back.

David Justice was right; he's not swinging at bad pitches, really, he just can't hit what he DOES swing at cuz the swing sucks right now and he has no confidence cuz of this extended slump.

If Brown can manage to hang in there for another good start, and the yanks win...then they should pull to .500 tomorrow with Johnson on the mound. The A's cant hit a lick.
