just use the torrents from http://www.torrentspy.com/directory.asp?mode=sub&id=128
They're already edited and compressed (~180MB) and a torrent will download a hell of a lot faster than any server you could get it to.

i thought it was understood when they came back that they were only going to do like 3 episodes and then a full season would start when all the other shows start their new seasons. maybe not though, i dont know for sure.

it was actually a good play by Fox if you take into consideration other networks. Why air a brand new family guy, that they realize caters to the 16-30 crowd, against the season finale of desperate housewives. Yes some of you will say, wtf who cares about that show, but it has a huge following of 20+ year old viewers.

If I was fox I would milk the Star Wars B.S. while seasons are ending, then once everything is dry finish the family guys.

Either way I don't mind b/c DVR will get it for me

some quotes from http://www.tvtome.com/FamilyGuy/

Quote :
"At the time, a July 2005 start date was announced and 38 new episodes went into production. Season 4 eventually began on May 1, 2005. "

So 38 is a hell of a lot of episodes.... sounds like 2 full seasons.

a news item dated 5/22:
Quote :
""FOX shows returning in 2005-2006 include 24, AMERICAN DAD, AMERICAN IDOL, AMERICA'S MOST WANTED, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, THE BERNIE MAC SHOW, COPS, FAMILY GUY, HOUSE, KING OF THE HILL, MADtv, MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE, THE O.C., THE SIMPSONS, STACKED and THAT '70s SHOW."

Also the schedule will be:

SUNDAY
7:00-7:30 PM Animated Encores
7:30-8:00 PM KING OF THE HILL
8:00-8:30 PM THE SIMPSONS
8:30-9:00 PM THE WAR AT HOME
9:00-9:30 PM FAMILY GUY
9:30-10:00 PM AMERICAN DAD "

yeah i don't get it. why did they advertise that the shows were going to on, when there was going to be a race during the same time slot?

Am I way off base for saying that last nights episode wasn't that funny?

I thought that Brian barking at the black guy was hilarious, but the whole SNL/Jimmy Fallon thing was pretty weak.

I don't like Stewie being gay instead of evil.

yeah, agree. I was wondering if I was too tired or just not in a "funny mood", because that often happens to me where I just don't care to laugh at anything, but I laughed out loud only a couple times last night, comapred, for example, with episode 4.1 which had me rolling for most of it.

brian barking was funny the first time, but mostly because I used to have a dog that only barked at black people as well, and I agree the whole SNL thing wasn't funny (except for the bit about SNL having 1.5 times the audience of Mad TV).

Last nights felt like an episode of the Simsons from the later years, in that recently (well, i haven't watched the simpsons in several seasons) every episode of the simpsons something major has to happen, like they go on a big trip or there is a celebrity guest. So last night in FG, they pulled the family out of the house and stuck them in a tour bus and shipped them to NY. They should stick to what worked in the first 3 years, which mostly involves staying at home and around Quohog (of course, some of the funniest eposides have been the brian/stewie road trips).

and I don't know what's left of stewie being evil - maybe that was just well payed out in the first couple seasons. i don't feel like I need to see him try to kill lois every week, so i'm alright with him just being gay, or "struggling with his sexuality" as an infant

I liked it in season two. We all knew that Stewie was evil and wanted to take over the world. Then they would throw you off by having moments where he broke character and acted effeminate/gay. Those were hilarious because they were unexpected and usually pretty subtle. But now he just chirps in with some stupid effeminate comment whenever anything happens. Downgrade.

Yeah, the story spun out of control really quickly.

I bet a lot of people loved the fact that he beat the shit of Jimmy Fallon without even realizing he bwned Meg.

yeah, the gay scarecrow was great, and ^^, there's a difference between becoming jaded and disregarding something become it's now "mainstream" and reviewing something critically.

she said "sperm dumpster", but regardless, that shit is so true. I had a co-worker shopping for clothes with his 7 year old daughter, and they had little girls' underwear that said "eye candy" on it.

The journey song was good (gigity gigigty gigity) and the line about billy goat's tavern "no coke, pepsi" got my biggest laugh, but its kinda from a different generation.

i'm glad you got it, but wtf do you mean "that link didn't work for me"? That link goes to a bit torrent site. You download the torrent, then open that file up in a BT program and the video is downloaded. you can't just download a .torrent file and play it directly

That episode was AWESOME. Everyone of the gags completely caught me off guard. I worried the show was becoming predictable but the gags on the episode got rid of that.

I love those awkward moments with Brian.

yep, i was happy.
my only minor issue - so, i know FM and South Park make use of the extended jokes, where the joke is basically on the audience - that is, they take a somewhat humorous situation that you get the joke after 5 seconds, but it goes on for 30+ seconds to minutes, and drag it out and out, and the audience basically is sitting there going, "is this ever going to end."

examples: the cripple fight in south park, the chicken fight in FM in earlier seasons, where Peter scraped his knee (i think in one of the episodes with Death) and he sat on the sidewalk and did the "aaaaahhhh..... aaaahhhh..." thing for it felt like a minute.

anyway, i think that's funny maybe once an episdoe, but they did it 3 times tonight.
1) with the "you have AIDS" quartet (doesn't really fit into this category because it's a full musical piece, but it sure did last a long time)
2) there was something where i think peter was laughing at something......
3)..... dammit, i'm completely lost my train of thought and can't remember the last 2

but anyway, there was 3 places they did that. And they were all good, but maybe a bit too much. But a lot of good stuff too - i love the image of Stewie jumping up Anika's skirt and hanging there
