well there was that one time when some people from chit chat tried to take over the lounge, but CassTheSass stopped that shit in a hurry

Lounge is supposed to be mostly for news, although it can include genuine questions when you want information about something.

Chit Chat is just that. It's around for people who just want to talk. They can ask questions in there too, but the questions are generally not as important and may not be able to apply to a lot of people. Also, you're more likely to get a lot of worthless answers in Chit Chat from people who just want to up their total number of posts and fewer informative answers than in the Lounge.

Chit Chat = Random and spontaneous crap. Anything goes.
