Instead of the static last four chatterbox messages, make it an applet or shockwave app or something (could be turned off and return to past behavior by an option if it wont load) that would keep a longer chatterbox history, as well as update live, instead of per page load.

I know it would be a dramatic change from the current behavior, but
1) would me a good change to the site
2) could be a way to draw more premmies
3) will only be seen by premmies

get a CSC student to do it for a free membership or something
