not a fan of the dash- looks like an ugli-fied version of the 7er.

also, there do not appear to be any turn signal/cruise control stalks, and no shifter either on the console or wheel.

OMG you beat me to it... how dare you?

hehe, i knew it was being released on monday, and i was waiting for it. came home from work an hour ago, and you got there first

but of course, leave the job of posting big pics to me

anyway, can i say:

BABY MAYBACH?

^

yes, the dash is ugly. i like a proper center console that sweeps from the top of the dash to the area between the front seats in a long curving slope. i hate these block-type consoles that are coming in a lot of the cars.

Well evidently the stalks were hiding behind the wheel, but I do wonder what has become of the shifter...pushbuttons? Integrated into the nav/radio/computer system somehow? Hmmm.

It's like they took any style they had with the old ones and removed it to make it blend in with every other car on the road. Pretty soon the only way you will be able to tell the difference between any cars is by looking at the badges.

I TOTALLY agree... it looks like the crystler designers had a huge hand in designing this one... almost as if the mercedes guys designed the crossfire and then the chrysler guys designed this one...

power is impressive, but one FUCKED up thing is

radar assisted braking... it brakes even if you don't think you need to... so why have all the power if you can't weave in traffic

AMG styling for the new S-Class (gives a good idea of what the new S-Class AMGs will look like)

I think overall it looks OK, and will "work". The headlights remind me of a maxima, and generally look cheap but the Benz grill redeems the front end. Likewise the rear could be considered bland but the lines of the trunk face +the body colored grills over the tail lamps help the rear look a bit more sculpted.

Interior generally does have a nice feel, but oh man I hate that tach.

you can see the shifter here, on the control stalk on the right side of the steering column.
