A working user button and a bunch of other useful features have been integrated into Firefox using the Greasemonkey extension in this Tech Talk thread.
no, they can't fix everything - just simple things that don't involve working with the database and all.

To get GreaseMonkey, go to http://greasemonkey.mozdev.org/ or https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=748

^^ that's a hell of an idea. It could be done in GM. The key will be to stop people from abusing it.....
