I like Bjork, Aphex Twin etc., but have never really heard Sigur Ros. Do they sound similar?

Sigur Ros is about as far from Aphex Twin as you can get. Also, he's from England, not Iceland, if that's a connection you're trying to make (and I'm not sure you are).

Anyway, Sigur Ros isn't bad, it just puts me to sleep with its soothing whale-ish sound.

I love sigur ros but i doubt ill be able to make this show since im in statesville now. Being in the middle of the week also doesnt help. Im making it with sufjan stevens and the decemberists in september.

Whatever...I was sad that I wouldn't get to go to this show but I have an awsome weekend of music coming up on the Sep. 23rd weekend. Friday night Q and not U's last show evahhh, Saturday is a free show at the Washington monument with Bouncing Souls and Le Tigre, and Sunday I wrap up the weekend with a nice little trip to Chapel Hill to see Sufjan!!! Sooo I don't mind missing out on Sigur Ros
