aha i remember riding down avent ferry on a round sled (yes, i had one from home) being pulled by my cousin's truck... and making snow cream, and making snow forts and having battles, and playing out in it at like 3am. when it first started, we went to IHOP to eat. by the time we were done, there was like 2in already. fun times

OMG...I just remembered that Bojangles was the only fast food this side of Western that was open on the first day after so I rolled up there and got a tailgate pack just to hold myself through the next few days. The line was out the door. I think all the people that worked there lived in those crappy apartments behind it or something.
