When Raphael said "damn" - that shit was scandalous
To this day I've never waited in a line as long as the one to get tickets to see that movie.

Am I the only one that isn't terribly impressed by even the best CGI?

^ i agree. and its not like the costumes they used in the first one were that bad. i'd much rather see it redone similar to that than a CGI production

I find costumed characters just as distracting as CGI characters, if not moreso. Most of the time the characters' eyes and fingers don't move at all and they have little to no subtlety in their movements.

I think I'm just disgruntled b/c I used to act. I'll probably always prefer live action and clunky effects to CGI shit.

^yup^

Especially when you realize that the movie is based on the new TMNT, not the old.

Who am I kidding it is going to suck either way. Now the live action Transformers on the other hand.....

^ i know this is going to sound like sacrilege... and i can't even believe that i'm going to say it...

but the new turtles cartoons has better stories and would probably work better on the big screen than the old turtles cartoons...

and before you start whining about how awesome the first one was, i'll remind you that the second one was absolutely horrendous, and a large chunk of you have probably never even seen the third one

I liked the second Turtles movie.

ive never seen the third. I saw them in that stupid chinese crap and skipped it.

Super Shredder was worth the movie

The first TMNT cartoons were more comical in nature. The new cartoons are more action/violence oriented.

The first movie was OK.
The second was terrible.
No one knows about the third because no one that has seen the movie has lived to tell about it.

You know that the only reason they came out with a second and third movie was because they already had those costumes laying around had to put them to good (relative) use.

have you ever actually read the old gritty b&w comics?

I own all 3 movies... and i liked them all. I had all the action figures....even beebop and rocksteady...
I took beebop and rocksteady to school one time (elementary school). I left them in my desk during recess and when i came back they were gone. I haven't seen them since.

I might just have to see a grittier tmnt.

And just pray I don't hear a single COWABUNGA during the entire movie.

The first movie was good, the second was alright, and the third was just about the worst movie I've ever seen (the worst was 2010: The Year We Make Contact).

i have your action figures, if you ever want to see them again leave $22.50 in unmarked bills and 4 dimes, 2 nickels in a tin-metal gi joe lunchbox, inside the thermos, underneath the monkey bars

i'll be waiting

Back when I collected the action figures, I thought it was stupid that the foot soldiers came 1 to a pack.. I always wanted a hundred or so, just like in the cartoon and movies.

Michaelangelo

THE TMNT that everyone grew up with. I dont care about the fucking comic book that 1 in 50 have read or that it came before. Thats no longer TMNT.

I am all for seeing a grittier TMNT movie, but to not have them say Cowabunga is retarded.

I think it was one of the Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird books

actually they used completely different costumes in the 3rd one for some reason. they looked much worse, more comical from what i remember.

I think colin farrel would make a good casey jones, cuz elias koteas is pretty old now and they look kinda similar. Also they should use micheal clarke duncan for rock steady and the deformed guy from the goonies for beebop.

"T-u-r-t-l-e power
T-u-r-t-l-e power
T-u-r-t-l-e power
Teenage mutant ninja turtles
On the half shell they're the heroes four
In this day and age who could ask for more
The crime wave is high
With muggings mysterious
All police and defectives are furious
Cause they can't find the source
Of this lethally evil force
This is serious so give me a quarter
I was a witness
Get me a reporter
Call April O'Neil in on this case
You better hurry up there's no time to waste
We need help like quick on the double
Have pity on the city 'cause man it's in trouble
We need heroes like the Lone Ranger
When Tonto come pronto when there was danger
They didn't say "We'd be there in half an hour"
'Cause they displayed
Turtle power
(REPEAT CHORUS)
Now our ace reporter was hot on the trail
Determined to put these crooks in jail
She spied the bad guys and saw what happened
But before she knew it she fell in a trap and
Got caught yes she was all alone
With no friends and no phone
Now this was beyond her worst dreams
'Cause she was cornered by some wayward teens
Headed by Shredder they were anything but good
Misguided, unloved, they called 'em "the foot"
They could terrorize and be angry youth and
They'd mug the people who needed proof
Then from out of the dark come an awesome sound
Shouted "Cowabunga" as they hit the ground
>From the field of weeds the heroes rescued the flower
'Cause they possessed
Turtle power
(REPEATCHORUS)
When you stand for what you believe in
And find the strength to do what's right
That's turtle power
Heroes on the half shell they're on a mission
When there's a battle got the enemy wishin'
That they stayed at home instead of fightin'
These ninja masters with moves like lightning
They were once normal but now they're mutants
Splinter's the teacher so they are the students
Leonardo, Michaelangelo and Donatello
Make up the team with one other fellow
Raphael he's the leader of the group
Transformed from the norm by the nuclear goop
Pizza's the food that'ss sure to please
These ninjas are in to pepperoni and cheese
Back to the story it's not hard to find
Ninja's not just of the body but of the mind
Those were the words that the master instructed
But a letter from Shredder had Splinter abducted
That was the last straw
Spring into action
Step on "the foot"
Now they're gonna lose traction
Now this is for real so you fight for justice
Your shell is hard so you shout "They can't dust us"
Off like some old coffee table
Since you've been born you've been willing and able
To defeat the sneak
Protect the weak
Fight for rights and your freedom to speak
Now the villain is chillin'
So you make a stand
Back to the wall
Put your sword in your hand
Remember the words of your teacher, your master
Evil moves fast but good moves faster
Than light shining for your illumination
Good versus evil equals confrontation
So when you're in trouble
Don't give in and go sour
Try to rely on your
Turtle power"
