i liked it alot, but the only thing I didn't like was that it was a little far fetched. 14 years from now there won't be commonly used electric/rail-less trains, jet motorcycles, alot of the technologies in the movie.

That's where the fiction part of sci-fi comes in.... it's also a little longer than 14 years until 2050.

i agree with most in saying that while there were a lot of undeveloped things or far-fetched situations (70 stories into a net would thrash you), it was still an enjoyable summer movie.

p.s. to the whiners...some ppl see a lot of movies and like a little variety, we cant see indy dramas all day you know.

p.s.s. my mom accidentally called lincoln Logan while we were discussing it. twas funny.

i was confused cuz i heard 2019 then heard 2050 (which could be 2015 i suppose). it seems like it would be pretty stupid on their part to make it 2019 as thats not very far away. 2050 is far enough to at least beleive some of the stuff they had.

youre just being difficult. word twisting gets you nowhere. the point is that all of us hate people who hold all movies to some very strict standard. obviously an action movie wont have as good of a plot or acting as a movie that was meant to be solely about the story. you have to go in and judge a movie on its own merits, what type it is, and the intended audience.

if you just sit back and watch this movie was relatively enjoyable. i too found plenty of things questionable about this movie, but for the most part still enjoyed it. had it been some philisophical indy drama i might be less pleased, but it wasnt.
