the only album i bought thats been released this year is the Documentary, o yea and "Be" from common

im in no position to say this is the album of the year, but hell i love it

Common's i dont like so much, cuz in my opinion Kanye ruined the songs with the hooks and his beats

It's still way too early to decide. New King's X album, Cryptopsy album, and a few others coming out before the year ends.

So far these are my favorite this year:

Kreator - Enemy Of God
Dream Theater - Octavarium
Opeth - Ghost Reveries
Adrian Belew - Side One and Side Two
Spock's Beard - Octane

For some reason I haven't heard of Spocks Beard before and I figured I would check them out. Definately some insane musicians. It reminded me alot of one of my favorite albums from last year, Anchor Drops by Umphrey's McGee.

It's always cool to find out new kinds of music.

The Decemberists - Picaresque

with Bloc Party's Silent Alarm, Spoon's Gimme Fiction, and White Stripes' Get Behind Me Satan close behind.

although he can be annoying, Bright Eyes' "I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning" was really good too.

and even though it's not the best ALBUM, my favorite release has been Songs for Silveman by Ben Folds

I'm suprised it took that long for the Decemberists to get on the list. I know alot of people that are super in love with that album.

hahahahha i didn't state it "as an opinion"?

hilarious. i could've sworn it was redundant to preface a remark with "in my opinion."

I'm 100% sure it was implied that it was my opinion.

you, good sir, are a retard.

i havent heard the new one

but, just wanted to say -- ive seen them live a lot. BIGGEST WEEZER FAN EVER!!1 i liked ALL their other cd's

the order they came out is the order i rank them, actually. im sure ill like the newest one, but it will be last place. probably part of growing up

PINKERTON IS AWESOME BUT BLUE IS BETTER

lets fight about that instead.

Archer Prewitt - Wilderness
Black Mountain - self titled
CYHSY
Silver Jews - Tanglewood Numbers
