god damn i hate people who have a fast car and think they know how to use it... just cause my dd isn't fast doesn't mean i don't know how to drive i mean i've only been to 2 driving schools
barber & bonderant

you don't wanna lock them down like that jackass did he obviously has no touch

driving in a sliding situation is like driving on ice... the more you break the less you can steer.
and all care have a forward break bias so if your tail is very far out and your fron tires want to stop faster than your rear.... your rear will just keep going by

^^^agreed. but the reason he got into that wreck is because he tried to save it, and obviously wasn't capable of it. at that speed, he probably would've been fine w/ just locking up the wheel, worst case scenario: he might've hit the median.

instead, as you can hear, he continues to apply the throttle just up until he hits the median and cars.

i dont see how people can lose control like that, looked like a 15 year old girl driving.

ive driven numerous mustangs with big power and its not THAT hard to keep straight under wheel spin...

its weird though....sometimes you cant hear the wheels spinning because the exhaust is so damn loud and everyone ive driven has the worst driver feedback..

I can't believe nobody has mentioned, or cared to inquire as to the injuries sustained by the innocent victim in this blatant display of stupidity.

That poor white car got flung 90 degrees from what I could tell. I hope that the kid driving the piece of shit ford is performing an hour of community service for every dollar in physical damages and medical bills he caused and the judge forced him to ride his bike.

he's never gonna be insured again if they see that video, but seriously, why not straighten up before breaking them loose? was he trying to practice drifting in the middle of a crowded intersetion? i saw a guy in an iroc do that on capitol making a u-turn, he spun completly around and ended up going the same way he was to start with

This is about as bad as that MR2 idiot that ran up a hill and slammed into a Jetta.

The guy driving is apparently a real nice guy and doesn't have any type of history of this sort of action. He's been to several events, though he just recently got the KB installed. So, yeah, going from his previous car (not anything quick...) to a 650rwhp cobra can be a jolt.

I do understand what a terrible, idiotic mistake this was. All of the people involved came out okay in the end. Insurance will be dealing with it, obviously. But, the guy is not an arrogant 17 y/o that'll be out doing it again; he knows waht he's done and he's sorry for it.

He's known to be a fairly good driver in his ring of enthusiasts, so it surprised most of them when they found this was him. Either way, he realizes his mistake and understands the repercussions. We've all done our share of stupid shit - yes, I don;t think anyone here has done anything quite this drastic, but hey, some of us are a shade of blue away.

Count your blessings it wasn't you and that no one was hurt, and get on with your lives.

Mike

It looks like to me he cracked the throttle too much at the gear shift which caused it to bite and got him all fucked up.
