i'm so partial to piano-based beats in hip hop...
if i had the time i'd put together a mix of 'em.
some of those binary star tracks that have piano are just ridiculous.
that TODAY track on 'death is certain' by royce is pretty hot - i've heard it in at least one other track before.
any good ones come to mind for you guys?

The first thing that comes to mind is "The Gas Face" by 3rd Bass. And then the detuned shit in like every Wu Tang song ever.
Scenario, too, but that's barely there.] 8/5/2005 9:55:57 AM |

I love piano beats
-There was this no limit freestyle that i think was on Silk Da shockers album
mystikal, fiend (who i believe tore it up), mia X, and silk, prolly Big Ed, wont help much cuz i cant remember the track name or even which of his albums it was, but it was back when NL was good
but anyways that piano beat was very tight
-On Terror Squads original album, the first track "In for life" was a tight piano beat in which cuban link, pun, fat joe, prospect, and triple seis take turns on the mic
-the BEST piano beat is on method mans Tical 2000 called "Spazzola" its methd man, raekwon, streetlife, and inpectah dek i think, but they pass the mic around that song is everythin a Piano beat should be...make SURE you get this one 8/5/2005 5:28:45 PM |

sorry for the triple post but the no limit song was called "Ghetto Symphony" and was on Snoops Top Dogg album
Fiend has a very calming piano-based track called "Waitin on god" i used to listen to for hours on end
Krayzie Bone's "Power" is sprinkled with some piano strokes that makes the beat awesome
(and dont worry, Fiend wasnt trash like the rest of the No limit dudes)
Just about all of bone thugs' weed songs are piano based, my fave is the one on the Resurrection album called "the weed song"
if i can think of any more ill spit back at ya
