I need about 10 blue 3mm and 5mm blue LED's. Where's the best place to buy them locally?

I've heard bad things about Radio Shacks LEDs...so i'd rather not buy from them.

i dobut they sell blues at radio shack

but i don't see what it matters where you buy them, it isn't like they aren't all made by the same places.

I'm pretty sure Radio Shack does have blue LEDs. 99% positive infact (blue, red, white, yellow, and I think orange too) If you need them today.... RS is about your only hope since you need such a low count and you aren't a company (just an assumption). If you have time to wait DigiKey usually offers a bit of a discount for buying more than one.... other than that ... good luck finding them.

so help me out here

what's the urgent need for blue LEDs?

ricer meet tonight and you need your car to look like KITT's homosexual relative, or what?

[Edited on August 3, 2005 at 6:20 PM. Reason : I wasn't aware "urgency" and "blue LEDs" could occur in the same thought without the universe ending]

I think it's pretty fuckin obvious you are ricing something up. The fact that you do car stereo installs tells the story. Some douche bag wants you to rice his install up. Give him a dildo while you are at it.

i don't know how the prices compare with other online retailers, but we get a lot of stuff at work from http://www.digikey.com and http://www.mouser.com

... for future reference.

I put in some elevators out at cree. To get to the door and knock you need 2 forms of id, to get in you need a background check and on site drug test. Oh what a fun place to work.

nah, the only thing me doing car stereo installs has to do with this is that I like working with electronics.

I'm making a clock with an LED display.

You should have made a clock that speaks the time

Johnny 5 could talk, and I think if Steve Guttenberg managed to make him you could do it.

Find me some schematic for a Johnny and I'll have one wild adventure were I end up getting chased by some anal assface, stuff will get blown up, and I'll end up getting the chick.

lsdiodes.com

cheap prices, come fast and you get extra diodes for every 5 or so you buy

replaced the leds on my desktop, probably going to make some angel eyes for my car air vents, it's a nice touch

radioshack is WAAY overpriced and most people that work there think you're building a bomb (i get asked that, if i'd like to buy some batteries, and if i'd like to get a cell phone...everytime

online- digikey or mouser (haven't ordered from either, but they seem to have everything you could ever need

blue LEDS are VERY popular with VIP's they dont' give a SHIT if the product works as long as the LEDS blink... if they are blue they nearly blow their load... its hillarious
