Does anyone have a good idea for a quality computer case under $100? Would like it to be silver, but its no big deal if the case is good. I don't want a psu in it since I already have one with me.

Thanks for your time.

I have a desktop style ATX one that you could have for free + cost of mailing it to ya.

As for fancy cases: I currently use the Antec Sonata - granted it does come with a PSU, but it's a good one - it's very quiet, and the gloss black paint looks great.

The looks don't matter much to me. I would like one that is easy to use. Easy to pull apart when I want to upgrade or work on it.

Antec SX1000 II + can of silver spraypaint

Of course, you're getting much more functionality than these craptastic lanboy cases, but it's not going to catch anyone's eye

Quiet and Clean Cut Case - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811129155 (one of the best cases out)

Almost all your good cases are gonna come with a power supply. But they're usually good power supplies if you're getting good cases. All the flashy cases are the same to me. I may buy the Sonata II myself real soon, now that you peaked my interest.

What makes a case 'good'? I've always gone with the 'if it holds all the pieces together' then it's ok.

That's a "good" case.

Too bad he wants $55,000 for 1.

If you are interested in buying a case with the same design of the
Doom3: Project Mars City case mod, that would cost in the neighborhood
of $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 USD to create by hand. This does not include
computer hardware. Thanks for your inquiry.

Cheers,
Paul

^ Cool. I can respect a case like that--that guy obviously put a lot of time and effort into it. All told though, I think I'd rather save money on the case and put the cash into something that goes into the case.

I'd say that's a good start for things inside it.

If you've got $55K+ to drop on the case, the internals are a drop in the damn bucket.

A good computer case is a light functional case that will keep your internals as cool as possible. Aluminum is the way to go and a tooless case is good, but for godsakes dont buy those ugly ass cases they have now that look like an import race car with flashing lights. Its a computer not a damn techno light show. Find a functional, light, sturdy, and most importantly cool case.
