Just bought mellocj's 1992 Buick Century. Needs new brakes and CV joints. Anyone know where I can get some and how much it's gonna hurt my wallet? Need something affordable 'cause I don't have much moolah. Thanks in advance.

I hope you got a really good deal on this car, b/c it seems to need a fair amount of work.

For tires go to Discount Tire. I know there's one of those on the corner of Wake and Six Forks.

[Edited on August 6, 2005 at 9:47 AM. Reason : and if only ONE of the tires is wearing down your alignment is fucked up, so get that done as well.]

both axles, brake pads and a tire should be less than 200 total.... of course you may need new rotors or other brake componets that would drive the price up alot
as far as labor goes just try to find someone who'll do it for beer or something

Same here. I work for cash.

Haven't had a beer in two years, maybe longer.
