it is not streaming through this site. it may be linked through this site, but if it comes from another server, then it is coming through their bandwidth and not tww bandwidth.

dude, i am by no means a computer software, hardware, information technology, or interent server expert. all the stuff that i know about computers was self learned by either trial and error or by reading materials such as books and message boards. if i showed any ignorance here, sorry, the statements i made were just purely a non-expert guess.

The site averages somewhere around 300,000 pages views a day. Assuming 75KB per page (not sure how good of an estimate this is due to the amount of picture traffic and the effects of casheing)...

300000 views*75KB*30Days=675 GB/month or 22.5 Gb/day

well, i know one time i hosted a video my website - it was 12 mb - and it got so many views in 6 days, which used about 40GB (my quota was 20GB/month) that i was emailed about it. so, taking that into consideration, that was the basis for my assumption for making an estimate of bandwidth usage here on tww.

Last month I used 890GB of bandwidth serving 34.5 million pageviews.

So far this month, on a little under 6.8 million pageviews, I've served 165GB.

Just to give you an idea of just how much it takes to really get the bandwidth numbers up really high. I don't have nearly as many pictures as TWW does, but even at say, 15-20k a page, I'll dominate it in bandwidth usage, barring poor TWW caching.
