Just got done changing the oil. I bought a case of Mobil1 Synthetic from one of the "big" auto parts store chains.
Everything was fine and dandy except when I openned one of the bottles, I noticed the oil in it was dark as tar.
Then I realized that the seal had been broken, and it was the same for each and every one of the other bottles as well. They were all full of (presumably) used oil. The box had been hot-glued shut again.
The store let me exchange it no problems since I go there quite often and they know me, but I told them that they need to be careful when accepting returns on cases of oil. Sounds like someone got a free oil change. 8/7/2005 5:09:17 PM |

Yes, I realized that, I was just trying to say that it was unfortunate you had to waste your time with it...

the trick is to take a small screwdriver and pry up on the seal as you open it, but mobil 1 seals come off easy, so they have a foil seal inside the cap too 8/8/2005 12:36:32 PM |

at a lot of places, you have to leave your name and address and shit to return stuff, i couldnt figure out a way to buy an identical tv at walmart and throw my broke ass one in there and bring it back, unless i bought a tv, brought back the broke one, and get the replaced, but then i'm still out 100 bucks and i dont need two tvs 8/9/2005 10:27:11 AM |
