You can install OpenOffice.org on multiple machines, cuz, due to the stupid nature of the GPL and the LGPL, you are effectively getting a new license for all the machines.

I don't think you use the same downloaded binary/source for all your machines.

That's right...you download them separately...and when you do so, you accept to abide by the PoS GPL.

What the LGPL requires is that you give everyone access to the source code if they so desire. Every user is not required to take it if they don't want it.
