Got my computer 1/2 way fixed. Now when I turn on my computer I get this lovely Error Message...

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error
c:\programfiles\commonfiles\symantecshared\ccevtmgr.exe
r2605
Pure Virtual Function Call

Help...anyone

wait, OS won't boot? o/w update symantec if possible

My computer will run....but things will start to shut off or Freeze....guy at work said something with "malware" I don't even know what the heck that is.

also increase your virtual memory by going to
start menu -> settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> System -> Advanced tab -> Settings under Performance -> Advanced tab -> Change under Virtual Memory -> Choose custom size and put 1536 for initial size and 3072 for maximum size.

since it seems like you aren't a big computer person, it may be easier if you just follow this guide that had direct links to things. http://www4.ncsu.edu/~efpetsch/homepage/computerhelp/quickguide.html
