So i found this for a new jeep:

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=182065313&dealer_id=56283831&car_year=1997&make=JEEP&distance=100&lang=en&max_price=11000&model=WRANGLER&end_year=2006&min_price=1&certified=&address=27610&search_type=both&advanced=&start_year=1997&isp=y&cardist=12

However, it's an automatic and i don't want an automatic... i love me some 5 speed... so i found a donor 5 speed out of this:

http://www.jeep-classifieds.com/22392_jeep-ad.html

I could also part out the rest of that jeep and probably make money? or enough to pay for itself..

Am i missing anything?... could i pull both trannies and swap and be done with it?

yeah, autos do make things much easier. i still prefer a manual though personally. with a good crawl ratio, manuals become MUCH more liveable.

yeah, aw4 was xj's only. i was just refering to jeep using some decent autos in general, not neccesarilly limited to tj's/yj's. aw4 is an easy swap into one though.
